[V10 - Geoscape] After loading the emergence of scholars

Recommended Posts

Playing in Normal mode, under wine version 1.5.1.

After loading game I have got over 40 scientists on main base.

After next game loading, I have got more than 500 scientists. And I may use lab over capacity.

I think it has something to do with how many active scientists you had when you saved, and these then double. I would wager my left paw it's a know issue too.

Still, 'tis a good way to speed up your research, or conduct studies on egghead reproduction :P

I'm seeing this too - also, my first ten 'assigned' scientists to projects don't count against my assigned numbers, only beyond that do I see the available scientists go down.

Also, you can go into the Personnel Screen and sack them all, ending up with -500 scientists, which means you can end up with a negative wage bill every month.

yeah, if you keep saving and loadint, the ones that are researching double, and you can fire them reducing your overhead as well.

If you fire these surplus scientists, not only do you get negative pay benefits, but you can also use the negative space to hire other employees, up to your actual base capacity. In my example:

-86 scientists + 123 technicians + 13 soldiers = 50 personnel.

This is a known issue. Check the other bug reports on it.

Will probably be fixed for next build.
