I totally agree (though a hedge shouldn't reduce shrapnel, so if you just lob it over a hedge that you're stood next to, you should take flak)

A hand grenade is a lobbing weapon, made to be thrown over a intervening object or into a target, so in to case above I agree.

I think, there is noone who disagrees here, even the devs already admitted that they did not get around implementing grenades properly:

Don't know in which build it is currently planned to be sorted out though.

At a high level I see 2 basic challenges.

1) Outdoors you can throw a grenade a healthy distance over traditional LoS  obstacles but indoors the ceiling would affect distance due to bouncing off the ceiling.

2) Throwing a grenade around a corner where you have no LoS from a weapon point of view but we all can understand throwing something around a corner sight unseed.

I think any more conversation on this should move to another location other than bug reports.
