Air battle - to attract external forces

In the land of the mission is under the control of foreign fighters AI, why they can not be in the air battle?

Is not it possible the United States or Russia or China are not able to send interceptors?

Bcause it's pointless from a gameplay point of view.

It would not bring anything to the game and only make the air combat more complicated while reduceing some of the risk/difficulty. OR if you meant that they would conduct their own battles without the player it would automate a part of the game that is not desirable to automate.

It would in the end be extra work for the developers without being any reward and feel rather pointless to the player.

This is not a gameplay mechanic. This is an attempt to bring an aspect of real life into a game without considering how it impacts the game.

kefeinzel: reducing the difficulty by introduceing an uneccessary game mechanic instead of balanceing weapons and armour is simply bad game design.

Kefeinzel - are you issuing orders with the game paused? That's the most obvious mistake people make.

Of course, if the funding nation has been lost to the alien hordes, then they could always send their fighters against you.

But in a game world of 3000 ships with more on the way, it's not as though the aliens really need the extra support.
