Skitso Posted March 14, 2015 Share Posted March 14, 2015 (edited) Now that we have the wonderful and pretty darn stable 0.32 out of the oven, it's time to polish the last little annoyances out of the game's complicated LOS system. llunak has implemented a great automated roof removal system where buildings' roofs are removed automatically if there's units inside or behind the submap in question. The issue I have is that if the building in question has more than one floor, the game removes all floors above the ground level, regardless of the level the alien unit is seen. This often causes confusion as the alien detected -icon is shown in the right side of the screen, but no aliens are visible without manually changing the camera level to the correct height. What the game should of course do in such situation is remove the roof and floors from top to bottom, but only down to the level where the visible alien is on (if there's multiple aliens on different floors, priority is the alien in the highest floor) Other vaguely related and pretty minor visual issue is that when a unit is moved to higher ground, then camera level moved down to ground floor and back to the level the unit is, the last TU left number is visible below unit's feet.
