Normaly not, I had a Mission in testing the 0.98 Verision, where the next Step of the Informative-Aliens came at landing sites. Drages hasn´t chanced that in 0.98.1 (only changing the Xenopediapictures, Xenopediaentrys if necessary and brought in the Ingame-Infos for Weapons / Equipment).

Hey Guys,

I have read now, that 0.32 HF 2 is online. Most of the Problems are solved, like Equiping Transport with Soldiers, Predator TU-Bug and so on. Download it today evining (and install it manually, if Steam didn´t done it you come home). :cool:

Christ! They have blown my entire team with 3 grenades.

EDIT:

I don't like the black color of the bullets firing out of the weapon, you might want to change that.

EDIT:

There is a minor buy in Xenopedia of F-17 Condor - it shows black screen, so you have to click twice to show it.

:confused: That shouldn´t be. It´s a beginning Unit so there is no research. I checked it while I´m searching for failures in Xenopedia and research Data while playing.

I found 2 Main things in Research / Xenopedia (Hunter Rockets / Powersource) and corrected it. Some small corrections to for some Entrys (to much or less Text, wrong Data). Have wrote that some Threats before.

Syntaxerror that sounds good. Have you installed the HF 2 per Hand or per Steamupdate?

Btw. some Tipps for Beginning:

- Use Smoke Grenades, Flashbangs and Cover. In Case use Frag Grenade.

- Research the Scout Tank asap

- Research Next Gen Weapons asap

- Research Stun Weapons (you need not much for that and the most comes of its on)

- get better Armor asap (you don´t need much for that)

- Stun Weapons will be needed much in this Mod (you will see what I mean)

- get Laser Weaponary to replace Next Gen Weapons

That should be enough Tipps. Most of them you have to use up to the End. Find it out! :)

I started with Steam 1.57 version of the game then I download the CE: 0.32 HF1, Balance, and settings and installed them using the modding tools, next is the X-Division Mod + update and put it as top priority.

@Fall19: We know your Problem, evtl. you have external Mod´s online which are not included and automatcly activated in X:CE. If it´s so deactivate all other external Mods you have extra installed.

@Syntaxerror: Play with CE: 0.32 HF 2, Balance and Settings. If you have Steam, so you don´t need do anything up to install HF 2 (since Steam has updated it automaticly). And the Tipps I give are for X-Devision Mod.

I have Steam what you guys have GoG version? Damn, I just deleted my GoG installer when I purchased the Steam version of the game --- I had no idea that CE can be installed in GoG version.

You can pretty much install CE manually with steam version,like I for example.All you need is clean copy of game (no modifications or CE installed) and make another copy of it which you put in different partition and then manually apply CE.

Yeah I know,however what I wanted to say is that steam version is no different than drm free version (besides DRM that is).This basically applies to any game that is released on steam and has standalone version,just like there is no such thing called mod for steam version or standalone. Mod is mod difference is how it's disturbed (through workshop or third party site)

Alien or sentelin, did you catch 2. Class of the specialist? I need to confirm the Fall19 problem.

Syntaxerror, if you soldiers stay together , aliens will use grenades.

They bomba their way through my entire squad --- wiped out. Fortunately I'm enjoying the process at the same time.

I had Aliens from 2nd Stage in 0.98! But that was before Testing 0.98.1!

Up to now (0.98.1) I´m not at the Second stage Alien Specialist Era, so I have only my first Androns and Reapers contact. The other Aliens are atm: 1st Stage Specialists, Guards / Soldiers, Officier (if I´m lucky [my first Sebillian Officer I have stunned for Interrogation]), Non Combatants, Xenomorph Drones and if im lucky Xenomoprh Warriors [not lucky atm with Xenomorph Warriors].

Drages you are running throug your project. Respect to you and your team!

I would tell you more if I had more, but I´m only a Human too. So I can make the Test and some little corrections when I have time and on my home PC. As well as I´m a little sick and so the Test is going a little slower (Concentration falls a little etc.).

@Fall19 we will look for it. Like you see my Post before, they come in the Version before. 0.98.1 is the big update for 0.98 incl. all HF before. So the Aliens have to come.

My assumption to your Problem can be, that you kill the new Specialists by accident and get only the old ones (light Scout, Scout, Corvettes). Do you shoot down Ufos over Water?

I have notice strange pattern regarding alien crews.It seems that game prefer much more Sebillians over Ceaseans.To test this theory I waited for right moment and took down two light scouts and one scout,then I saved game at that point and went to one crash site,reload game ... and guess what? 3 out 3 crash sites were filled with Sebillan crew.So I waited for another wave,this time I took only one light scout and again same result.I think that I had only one chance in current game to encounter Ceasans but ever since then I have been fighting Sebillans (there is RNG but this is simply not normal).

I RNG stands for Random Number Generator.No,I don't believe it's totally random,there was a flaw in how game choose Alien Crew months ago,that's why Solver (or was it Illunak) made new format for Alien Crew sheets which were easier processed by game.As I said it could be RNG (you can think of it like mechanism which "randomly " picks aliens for GC or picks randomly which events will trigger or ... everything that's suppose to be random is handled by RNG).

There really isn't anything you can do for now,when Kabills release CE 0.33 you will be able to control it and many more things but for now it's impossible.I will see if things change as I continue to play or when I start new game,maybe I am overacting but this certainly has slowed my progress drastically since I am not able to capture Ceasan specialists .

Fall19:

I just made a corvette caesan fast run with ultra gear and i captured a pilot and engineer with your save game u send to me.. so i acn confirm there the specialists you need are on board.. so you need to capture them.. and there was weapons which can penetrate even ripper and warder armour.. i am happy that everything is working fine..

So you are doing something wrong or your install got a problem.

I hope kabill can do it soon. I will use that new ufo spawn system for sure. I figured out the default system at my question topic but i think there is no need to waste time on default format.. I realy want to use dreadnoughts for terror missions at beginning of the game. One of the aspects missed from original X-Com..

The game is very very slow.. so this slows down the spawn of the terror and base defense missions.. i thought you will need more time between researches.. anyway i will handle all..

Kabills joining to CE team changed my patch schedule. Normally i would finish all i can what a modder can do.. but kabill will add so many things and this means a whole version like 2.0... i will still continue with my plan..
