X:CE (.28+) terror missions and the ships that start them

Hmm, I could've sworn I wrote this up already, but I can't find it.

Finally got far enough to get my first terror mission. However, I noticed that the ship that started the mission was also still there. I decided to land at the ship instead of the terror mission. Took out the ship fine, and then it auto-completed the terror mission as well. Now, I've heard the horror stories about terror missions. If this is intentional, where the ship never leaves/disappears, it would appear taking out the ship is a much more logical thing to do. It's a touched down ship, so you get the alloys and alenium from it.

I'm also using the dynamic UFOs mod, I have no idea if that is affecting this. Far as I know, it shouldn't be. I do know that the ship had no reapers in the crew, but the terror mission was full of them. That part I would assume is from dynamic UFOs. But the ship not leaving?
