Zefirth
Started game on normal - Iron man. Right at start before tracking any UFO's I sent out the chinook to see how long range it has and soon after, a ground combat started. I finished it and a second started. Quit the game and started anew and the same thing happend. Not even a UFO discovered window popped up before the GC started. If there was a UFO there for real then shouldn't they try to shoot down the chinook? But I guess it's a bug since no "UFO discovered window" popped up. Gorlom
Question: did you start the games in debug mode? If this is in debug mode then I believe this is the intended behaviour. Make sure you start it in normal mode.
Gauddlike
If you are launching from outside desura make sure you aren't running the ground combat batch file. Try it again, making sure not to use that batch file or the debug mode, and let us know if it is still doing it
Matthew
Please check if you are running the game in debug mode.
Zefirth
Yeah I was running it in debug mode. At least the first time. Will check it again when I get home from work. So the game is running differently in debug mode - strange. Where can I read about how the debug mode should be used?
MrPyro
Debug mode is specifically for people who want to test the ground combat, so it launches directly into ground combat. Good if you want to check new ground combat features without having to wait for a UFO and then shoot it down.
Zefirth
Yeah, sorry. Seems to be the answere. Thought the debug mode was able to send a crash report at CTD or something. EDIT: Is there a way to edit the thread title? I would like to add [sOLVED] for clarity Edited March 13, 2012 by Zefirth
Matthew
You don't have to. I have a massive .xls about the bugs and I track the issues there mostly and I edit them there to see if it is fixed and to see their milestones.
