How to change research name/title and description?

I've added copies of the 5 laser weapons and changed them all to "advanced laser"....etc. But I cant figure out how to change the research screens title/descriptions. See images below.

I simply want to change "Laser Weaponry" to "Advanced Laser Weaponry" for my new research/items.

Any ideas? I've tried adding entries into researches.xml and strings.xml....but Im lost.

You are already on the right track.

Basically you create your new weapons using .items.xml, weapons.xml, weapons_gc.xml and possibly ammo.xml

Then you add your research entry in researches.xml

Now whatever you called your research, ie researches.AdvancedLasers go to the strings.xml file

and add two lines.

Researches.AdvancedLasers

Researches.AdvacedLasersDesc

In the cell next to the first add the title you want and in the cell next to second put your description.

Remember its case sensitive and look out for typos. I always try to past from one file into the other.

You have probably tried this so just go back and check your spelling.

Figured it out...I missed one entry on researches.xml on the far left that had it still linked to the old strings. Durrrrr...
