Economy Restored v1.0.0 Xenonauts ver. 1.0.6 (it may work with 1.0.7 as well, I have not tested) Download Here v1.0.0 Economy Restored is the economy changes from my Xenophobia mod pack for the vanilla (unmodded) version of the game. The intent is to bring back the economy from the original game where you were expected to pay for ammo...etc Changes Economy overhaul: Base starts with just 10 assault rifles, 20 magazines, 10 frag grenades, 10 smoke grenades and 10 medipacks. No more "unlimited" weapons, equipment or ammo. (Vehicle equipment still is unlimited and unchanged, for now) All solider weapons, ammo and equipment must now be paid for and manufactured. Everything unlocks for manufacture the same way as usual. Default weapons are available to purchase/build from the start of the game. In an aim to help balancing I thought it might be useful if a few folk could report on missions they have carried out in the context of how much material they recovered and how much sales were made. If they could also estimate how much it cost them to replace any lost soldiers, weapons, armour etc. I am finding it hard to make any net gains in any missions beyond Scouts at present as I usually lose at least one piece of expensive equipment ($40,000 rifle, or $20,000 armour) which pretty much negates the income. I want to see if I am the only one struggling with this side of the economy past December (in the game).
  3. By basic economy model I mean a system where the prices of equipment you sell change according to various circumstances. The simplest change would be for prices to drop when you sell for example 1000 alien alloys. It could also be possible to introduce certain events that would bump the prices of alien artifacts. It would allow some more thinking/fun in the struggle for keeping your balance positive. I also think that the starting Xenonauts equipment should have to be bought. Missiles and ballistic weapons could come in infinite supply, but they should not be free. What do you think about that? Please discuss.
