  1. well.. topic says it shortly. Long version needs some more information. like: resolution 1900x1200 all settings maxed out (everything as far as games own things allow) looking at the game.. it seems.. odd. odd as in quite lot of times, there is "water everywhere" effect, namely that no matter where you go, it sounds like you are jumping in puddles. also monsters tend to glitch up/down nauseatingly. FPS count (as claimed by fraps) is 15 to 40. with total hang whenever more than 3 npc's are in sight.(outside cities) does resolution and detail amount affect either of those? display/sound bugs no. GPU usage is around 50% CPU usage is 45 to 50% at most. add in msi afterburner. set FPS limit to 59 (one below screens refresh rate) check again. no "water everywhere bug" no glitching monsters... FPS count is topped out 95% of time with few dips down to 20's IF there are like 25 to 30 npc's beating each other (warzones mod) GPU usage is at 80 to 95% CPU usage is in 50 to 70% don't get me wrong.. i'm happy that it runs 300% better now i'm just not sure HOW limiting maximum FPS amounts to vanishing glitches and HUGE performance boost.

  3. You should see the turmoil thats going on in the warthunder community regarding patch 1.29 at the minute - the discussions here are comparatively tame and constructive by comparison! And in Chris, we seem to have a perfect lead developer who listens to what we have to say (both good and bad) and keeps us informed about what he and the team are doing. Surely he can only be onto a winner with that attitude... I've been surpressing the anticipation for xen by keeping busy with my own wargame project & playing warthunder - both good ways to stop being impatient for its release!
  4. Funded in ~6 hrs (900.000$): http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/inxile/torment-tides-of-numenera The traditional publisher business model is the Bastille and this is the storming of it. I won't bother you with additional info as there's too much of it. Yes, there are always risks but this is as earnest as effort as there is going to be for this kind of thing and now's the chance to raise your sword and drive home the point that you've had enough of MMOs and microtransactions, "social gaming" and other bullshit. There is yet room for art.

    Wildman!

I just wanted to share this epic new game on Kickstarter. It's from GPG (Yes, it's being made by another Chris) the maker behing TA, Dungeon Siege, Supreme Commander, and Demigod. The game's called Wildman. It's a mix Moba, Rpg, and RTS (Yes, that many) and looks pretty awesome. I really recomend checking it out.http://http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gaspoweredgames/wildman-an-evolutionary-action-rpg
  6. ROAM (an awsome zombie filled base building thing) If the title didnt grap you maybe this will.... http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/roam/roam?ref=category HAVE FUN (and throw money at this) I may have lied a little bit... Having the world precedurally generate was/is a stretch goal i am unsure because the stretch goal descripts werre changed... But please take a look anyway

    Planetside 2

Hey folks. Anyone playing Planetside 2? We could team up sometimes and kick some major butt, like we did it with the Hardcore play-together games
  8. This seems like a common statement. In any case, I just wanted to spread the word about Path of Exile, though I'm sure a lot of you already know of it's existence. Now they have pre-purchase in a kickstarter form though which get's you into closed beta no matter how much you give them, and some other goodies for higher sums. It is a Diablo style game, and I see a lot of people in the forums there praising it as the saviour of the genre, since Diablo 3 apparently is the enemy. Personally I think Diablo 3 will be really fun, and I know this is because I've played it the entire weekend! The passive skill tree which seems inspired by FFX and the active skills and spells being equip-able, levelling gems is quite brilliant, and does away with some "standards" of the genre. If you think Diablo 3 won't have enough customization, you should try Path of Exile. If you think Diablo 3 won't have a sinister enough mood, you should try Path of Exile. If you just like clicking things dead in an isometric perspective, you definitely should try Path of Exile! Also, the main developer is named Chris. If you play on the European Standard league, feel free to add me. (Ashtorah) Any character you add as a friend will add that player, not just that toon. Cheers
  9. Hi guys! Have you ever played this game? http://store.steampowered.com/app/204060/ I just found out about it yesterday, bought it and I'm having a great time! It's really cool, worth checking
  10. It's out!!!! Its out!!!! Go grab it, and play the HD remake of the best sci fi game of all time! http://sourceforge.net/projects/urquanmastershd/
  11. sorry for so many random post from me http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/12/06/underrail-arcanum-meets-metro-2033-is-available-to-alpha-buy-now/ but check this game out its awesome
  12. http://www.indiegogo.com/sots-thepit?a=1627415 A new indie project by Kerberos. A light rouge-like action RPG. Check it out. B.t.w. - SOTS2 is given the all clear signal!!! http://www.kerberos-productions.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=35604 Game now purrs like a kitten.
  13. This looks great and with a very original art design. Apparently it's in beta now and you can sign-up for multiplayer testing. http://stoicstudio.com/forum/the-banner-saga-factions.php Click on the 'about' link, the folks working on this have incredible resumes. I'll be trying this for sure when it is released, which I suspect will be well before Xenonauts.
  14. OK i recently heared about this kickstarter project on another off topic forum: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1473965863/sui-generis (watch the video) I'm not quite sure what to think about it... What is show in the video on the kickstarter site is certainly shiny, and if it will be (even partly) like that in the finished game it will at least look awesome and epic (especially combat) I decided to back it with the 10£ because i really like the vision of those guys Eventhough i would still like to hear a bit more about some things. Mainly character developement and combat, though it seems that the next 2 updates should cover this 2 themes. What i especially liked from the first update and the main page (and i really hope they'll be able to deliver it): -"You will find yourself in a large open world that you can explore freely. " -"The world is carefully designed to be believable and have a life of its own. It is not there to wait for you to go on quests, trigger events or make decisions. Events will take their course and may take a turn for the worse if you don't get involved." -"Death will not be hard to come by and carries consequences, and there is no saving and loading. The game will put you in situations where trying to get out alive may be your only concern. We believe this is important to keep the game exciting. What's a game if you can't lose?" Though what i fear most, is that they might be to ambitious for their first project... IMHO even with some 'lesser' goals they could still provide an awesome RPG experience... Thats the main reason i don't think i'll pledge more, with a lesser goal both money wise and mechanically i would be slightly more confident. What do you guys think about this project?
  15. You all know about Star Citizen, and have been wondering if you should back it. I'm here to tell you to do so! Cummon, Lads, you know you wanna! http://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/star-citizen/?rid=6276
  16. was just wondering what you guys think of this project that has been also funded via kickstarter http://wasteland.inxile-entertainment.com/ I think I'm going to support it as well, it truly looks awesome
  17. Well since nexus 2 has no chance in hell of being kickstarted maybe all's not lost for the space ship battle loving crowd. Introducing: Strike Suit Zero. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/43153532/strike-suit-zero?ref=discover_rec If they manage to pull off what they promise then it's going to be a fun game. What do you think? Interested?

  19. Hey Guys, You seen this project? It looks like a buckeloads of fun. The Ship designer is available online, as an alpha, and it's really absorbing. I've already spent more time desiging ship in this alpha (which is a segment of 1/4 of the planned game) than I did playing most modern AAA gmaes. http://www.starshipcorporation.com/ http://www.indiegogo.com/starshipcorp [video=youtube;3XRpsFdkZBI]
  20. I'll just quote the first 2 paragraphs of this kickstarter project: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/obsidian/project-eternity?ref=live Basically what they are aiming at is this (again quoted from the kickstarter) EDIT: 11 days to go
  21. Anyone getting it? The steam-punk elements of it make it look like it could be fun despite the cartooniness. Maybe we could set up some co-op sessions if at all possible. Not yet sure how TL2's mp works. Whether there's "open games" where anyone can pop in and out or if it requires the traditional host/join scheme, if the ingame name is tied to the steam account or what. Will know in several hours I suppose.
  22. Can anyone recommend some fun PC games (besides Minecraft and MMOs) for people who are socially impaired? It gets hard to play single player games sometimes. Multiplayer games remind me that there are other humans out there, although I don't know why that's so comforting to someone as misanthropic as myself I got Torchlight 2, but I'm focusing on single player for now. I'm thinking about getting into Realm of the Mad God. I also like iSketch and Ace of Spades. If anyone has any other quick to get into Co-Op or PVP games (preferably free) feel free to list them here, thanks.

    Underrail

Just curious to see if anyone else was watching this one? Isometric turn based RPG in the style of fallout and arcanum. Has a real x-com look to the levels that appeals to me. I just noticed they have added the game to steam greenlight and are planning to start selling pre-order alpha access. Oh and there is an alpha demo on indieDB.
  24. This preview and this & !Official website, page in Desura Looks amazing! I want this game!
