  2. So I'm playing against a Scout class ship with a few more Sebs in the mission. When I opened the door, everything was normal. Then when I'm trying to shoot this guy, it won't let the shotgun shoot past the threshold of the door (clicking the targeting reticule simply does nothing), and when I try to back off, it forces me to take the first step into the UFO. Looks like there's some weird logic going on here. I was able to shoot a machine gun through the doorway normally, oddly enough.   3. My machinegun won't reload from the button. The ammunition is in his belt, in case that matters. Going to the inventory screen let me reload the gun manually by dragging and dropping the ammunition.

  5. hi guys,i have a problem..alien terror attack in harare,africa well i have landed and after hard fight against ceasan(killed at least 25-30 aliens,destroyed entire buildings and so on, and the ship was a corvette...)the enemy continue to spawn (at least 7 in line of sight) and the game freeze..a think is a bug...i have just dwloaded the v 19.6 hotfix during the game...happened to others??
  6. So I am playing a medium mission (I'm not sure which UFO, since it's one of my first ones). The UFO has a rounded front end with a door in the middle that has rounded edges. Sort of manta shaped. I can't figure out how to make a screenshot work. All print screen commands take a picture of my desktop. So it seems to ignore the game while in full screen mode. Most vexing. It would be useful to be able to take a screenshot from within the game, especially for visual bugs like this. In any event, the entire UFO excepting the door appears as black squares until I open the UFO door, in which case the UFO outline appears. When I closed the door, the UFO again became clear. I tried switching between vision modes without success. Additionally, from an oblique angle towards the rear of the craft, I can see through the back of the UFO at an angle, just enough to see one of the internal consoles. Which appears as part of the landscape when the UFO switches back to being transparent. EDIT: Having won the mission, the UFO in question is a Corvette class.
  7. September Strategy Saving Money for additional bases looked to work well in previous builds, so going for that again. By the end of September I have two bases. On the 1st October I started a third base. This leaves no money for equipment or for vehicles. Bugs Talyn Majenkov is invisible in soldier screen. Head and hands and portrait images didn’t load. Also affects Battlescape portrait. Medkits don’t always seem to work? This turned out to only be from one soldier in the first mission. Odd. Can see grass through floor of UFO when door is opened. Sebillian suppressed through hull of light scout. Scared by noises on the hull? New charred damaged ground effect may be preventing sniper fire 0% through it. Desert Map. Issues Greece in Middle East (known) UFO door stays open. Is this on purpose? It takes 10 days to build a hanger, meaning that you have to wait 6 days or so once Foxtrot is researched. Solution: Add a third hanger to starting base, and deduct cost from starting amount. First 2 stun grenades stunned 2 Sebillians. I feel it’s better that the stun gas works over time. Promotion continues to be too fast (known) Suggestions When ordered items arrive at base, it would be nice to know which items. Roles in the Personnel screen would be great. Having captured listed alongside missions & kills would be nice (particularly considering usage of stun weapons currently) Knowing what rocket is in the launcher, & being able to easily change it before combat, would be nice. Things I’m using/ Not using Shotguns get more use due to lower cost. However, they are relegated steadily once stun grenades come into play. Stun – A single grenade has taken out most aliens. Both grenades and rockets are immediately very useful. Apart from being over powerful, it’s also due to always meeting the aliens head on, either in the map or in the UFO. There’s not much room for snaking round to use the shotgun or stun baton. Partly it’s the complete wiping out of the aliens when using conventional rockets and grenades. This makes the stun options more appealing. So stun quickly become a key tactic. Sniper Rifle Fairly useful so far, although I did switch them out for a few missions. This is due to the small light scout maps being more useful for other weapons. Hypervelocity is back in by the looks of it. C4, Flash Bangs, Vehicles & Smoke Grenades are all not being used, although I’ll probably use smoke in larger maps. Reasons same as before. Aircraft Cannon Used once in September, which is earlier than usual. Light Scouts seemed a bit tougher this build. Manufacturing & Stores Remain broken and practically obsolete. Research Plenty to start with, but became linear towards end of the month, and have now all been completed. Timeline 1/9 – Europe base 1/9 – built hanger & medical centre 1/9 – ordered 5 scientists 1/9 – started 2nd N America Base. Built radar and 1 hanger Funds =0 1/9 - UFO 1 – Light Scout – Lands - Ground Mission – Caesians - breaching is now trickier Note: Seeing the roles on the Battlescape is very useful. Note: Used shotgun. Twice! 1/9 -UFO 2 – Light Scout – Ground Combat – Sebillians Note: Aliens more aggressive when inside UFOs, coming out to attack. 6/9 – UFO 3 – Light Scout - Ground Combat – Sebillians! Note: Combat shield destroyed by alien fire! 3 Sebillians rush from UFO. Yikes! 6/9 – UFO 4 – Air Combat. Crashes into sea 11/9 – start Foxtrot Construction. Funds =2k 8/9 – UFO 5 – Light Scout - Ground Combat. Sebillians 11/9 – start alien interrogation research 16/9 – UFO 6 – Light Scout - Ground Combat 22/9 – UFO 9 – Light Scout Ground Mission – 1st of 3 consecutive missions. Caesians 22/9 – UFO 7 - Light Scout Ground Mission. Sebillians 22/9 – UFO 8- - Light Scout Ground Mission. Sebillians 24/9 - build 2nd hanger in N America Base. Tferred Foxtrot to N American Base. Began building 2nd Foxtrot in Europe Base Funds =4k 25/9 – UFO 10 - Light Scout Ground Mission – Caesians 26/9 – UFO 11 – Air Combat – Crashed at Sea Note: 2 interceptions and 1 Ground combat have come from 2nd base within 1st month. So helping funding in month 1. Note: All research dries up on 28th Funding - September N America: -7k, S America:-10k, Europe: +15k, C America:0, N Africa:+48k M East:0, Indochina:0, S Africa:0, Soviet:+1k, Australasia:-7k Overall: +41k UFO Summary Light Scouts: 11 – Ground Combat: 9 Crash at Sea: 2
  8. I after a few turns, I was not able to close a door any more. I guess he broke the switch?
  9. As the title says, even when the alien is in full view of my troops, including at point blank range, and firing upon the poor succker, the "Hidden Movement" panel still shows up, completely blocking my view.
  10. 2 bugs found after 2 hours playing: * quick grenade slot: not showing grenades (2 on belt) but when you throw them they keep on spinning and don't explode. * Suppressed aliens still being able to shoot ,making them cheaters
  11. I reloaded a combat save and instead of Androns there's sectoid corpses.
  12. Just like the title says, if you throw one somewhere it tries to populate the sprite in an occupied space (say a rock or wall or something) and crashes to desktop.   13. The buttons at the top were unresponsive after combat ended. Clicking on the base works, though. Saving the game and reloading it fixed it.
  14. The game will freeze up half the time upon the finish of a ground combat mission while trying to load the end of mission stats.
  15. There are obviously going to be far more people in early parts of the game testing around. For a number of those, there are some bugs that mean they don't really progress much further than that. Others do persevere. Would it be worth posting up save games for others to test out later parts of the game, before the next experimental build comes out? format along the lines of [bUILD NO] - DATE IN GAME + some comments if the poster felt like it, just a thought.
  16. My foxtrots were on the way back from shooting down a UFO when they were intercepted by alien fighters. Of course, I just ran from combat since they had no ammunition left but as soon as the combat ends another one pops up because their fighters are faster than mine. Do I just have to let all my planes die?

First of all i have no idea where to post this,but i think the most fitting place is here because its known issue (thats why i didn't post this in bug tread).So here what the problem is,i get constant AI infinitive loop issue when i play terror missions (i play with v18 stable build).I read somewhere that this is happening because there is a lot of aliens,civilians .... and that when you reset from world map ( i can't remember right now how do you call that Geo .. something),you will resolve this problem,but it just doesn't seems that it fix anything.Beside the fact that i couldn't play first terror mission which happened in north africa(i read that here is this issue very common) i neither couldn't play second which happened in Tokio (which is on different continent with different layout ....).So since i just can't find any solution,does it exist or should i just abandon game for awhile until they finally fix AI ?
  19. Hi all, Just a bit of assistance required if possible. I'm playing through on my first game proper and have so far reached mid-October, but already i've had 2 terror attacks both of which on Wellington, New Zealand. Is this purely coincidence is this re-occurence a bug? Also, I have 20 soldiers but on the inventory screen can only see the first 15 and it wont let me scroll down any further, presume thats a bug? Cheers
  20. Hello! While playing an assault on downed carrier, found a bug. The guy (no standing in the left side, behind the wall, entered the building and made few steps ahead. After that I gave him an order to move out. He walked upstairs (for some reason) and than moved straight right (like diagonal move). In the right point he disappeared and than appeared near the door from the outside the building. Here is screenshot. I hope that will help somehow to avoid these bugs in next builds. Playing v 18 this time, downloaded from steam. I sent another guy upstairs to check how he moves there. seems okay... but you'd better check the codes.

I'll just jump right into it, Picture One: 1:57 pm on the Geoscape Picture Two: 1:58 pm on the Geoscape Is this a bug, bad game design, or just a product of it being beta so something like spawn areas aren't polished? Legitimate question, because I only have very vague memories of the original xcom from when I was much younger so I don't know if something cheap and unavoidable like this was part of it. Edit: P.s. This was right after I finished a successful alien base right as i started to return that happened. For some reason it discovered multiple alien bases in very fast succession, dunno if that is normal either.
  22. I just noticed that even though I set the game sound FX volume lower, the sound FX during the Hidden Movement screen is still full volume. Is that a bug, or is it intentional? I'd like the sound FX volume to apply to those sounds as well, or (if they need to be separate), have a separate volume control for those.
  23. Hi guys, just purchased on Steam a few days ago, and I'm currently quite impressed with the Beta so far. I was a huge X-phile back in the day, along with several of my good buddies, to whom I've been plugging this like mad. At any rate thought I might help chip in if possible: I am able at the moment to bring soldiers who are wounded, but not critically so, with me on missions, which I assume is working as intended. Curiously, once in the tactical map, I can then use medpacks to heal these soldiers to full health, generally from 50~60% to 100%, which has me a bit confused as it doesn't seem like I should be able to heal them past what they arrive into combat with. A minor thing at the most, as I said the game is fantastic.
  24. So sometimes I was able to see inside crashed scouts, once I had line of sight through the door I could press the roof button and it worked like any other building. Now I'm breaching corvettes and I can't see anything. Shots come from nowhere, the texture of the floor inside the ship that's visible through the door is the same as the dirt floor, and when I put soldiers inside I'm flying blind and they all get killed Is this a glitch, or am I missing something? Is there any workaround? Thank you
