  1. It seems to easy to get into a situation where you have no alien alloys but you can't get more because you can't bring down any of the cruiser size ships. Getting a crew to a landed cruiser is tough to pull off. I'm in a spot where I can _almost_ bring down a carrier, but I don't have enough alien alloy to build plasma aircraft weapons or any gatling lasers. It's looking like I'm pretty screwed. Maybe there should be a way to recycle plasma clips into alien alloys? I don't like games that let you go down hours-long dead-ends.
  2. Problem A lot of people are mentioning about not being able to advance due to lack of Alien Alloys and other consumables collected from ships that appear in the battlescape. I had one suggestion that would help alleviate this effect but without changing any of the alien fleet progression. Solution Allow shot down fighters and other non boardable ships to yield a small value of consumables that are automatically collected. For example, a fighter might yield 10-30 alien alloys (depending on over-kill damage level in combat). Lore Any crashed ship would of course yield some resources. It makes sense that the Xenonauts would send in some sort of recovery team of Engineers to strip the crashed UFO of use-able parts. Why? This solution avoids the need for limiting the number of fighters etc that appear during waves and forcing every wave to contain downable ships. At the same time it avoids the player from losing through lack of resources no fault of their own (even if they are shooting down every UFO in the skies). Implementation A small pop-up that appears after you shoot down one of these type of UFOs that tells you that x-amount of resources have been recovered for the wreck and are available at y-base.
  3. Hey, Fabrication is manufacturing stuff. We can't manufacture alien alloys. The name makes little sense, then. We can, however, manipulate them. Perhaps renaming the research to Alien Alloy Manipulation, or something similar, would be much less confusing. I've seen at least two people (and myself, actually so that makes three at the least) that thought that after this research we could manufacture alloys, which we can't. Anyway, I figured this would be a simple fix that would reduce a good amount of confusion.
  4. I just started playing the beta, and I'm 2-3 months into the game. I recently finished researching Alien Alloy manufacturing, and as the description of it says, I should be able to produce Alien alloys. But when I go to manufacture then I cannot find them in my manufacturing list. Am I missing something here, or is this a bug? Its very frustrating as it prevents be from manufacturing the more advanced equipment which requires those alien alloys.
