  1. I thought it might be nice to share what tools I use in modding Xenonauts. At the moment, I'm making custom sounds. I use two tools for this. The first tool I use is Bfxr, which is a simple but very effective tool for making custom sounds, as opposed to having an existing sound and editing it. It's not perfect by any means - it's free, whaddaya expect? But it's a great starting point for making custom sounds. When I have my custom sound, I take it into Audacity for mixing, editing and more tinkering (the mixer in Bfxr is arse). I'm only a novice, but hayl, I can spend hours and hours just tweaking little sections to try and get that perfect sound.
  2. X-COM is my favorite game of all time. Complex and replayable almost 20 years later, the game is peerless. Neverwinter Nights was my second favorite, not because the game was awesome but because the toolset helped YOU make the game awesome. Perhaps the toolset for this game could be released like the Aurora toolset for NWN. Ohh I would love to mod a jagged alliance 2 remake.... edit: Nevermind lol
  3. Hi ! (incidentally this is my first post here, so I introduce myself briefly : my name is David, I'm French, a programmer, and I looooooved XCOM - so thank you for this wonderful project) I work with an open-source project and we use Jetbrains YouTrack to track bugs and features requests. It's free, and very very good. Cheers, David.
