  1. Say, instead of 40% of your max TU, it does (20% of max TU + 10), so as your soldiers get better you can actually shoot more in a turn. It could even be a flat, for example 20 TU for a specific fire action, but I just want my significantly higher TU soldiers to be able to do more than walk further.
  2. Those two responses make it seem pretty likely you pirated the game. The way Chris responded, with the refund option, makes me believe he feels the same way. It's one thing to come here and be rude to people, who are trying to help you, for not reading your mind. It's another thing to do that while expecting support for something you acquired illegally, circumventing payment.
  3. Right... Nope, Dean Hall was hired on AFTER the mod's success, which makes DayZ amature made. He had no professional game dev experience prior.
  4. Thank you very much for this.
  5. Without these (and skitso's) this game IMO isn't playable after a certain amount of battles fought. Thank you guys for these, really. The only thing really stopping me from playing now are the repeating industrial maps
  6. You can move the map which is basically rotate it, but I'm not sure if you are aware of that. You have to right click I believe and drag.
  7. this map pack spoils me, when playing farms and desserts it always feels like a new map, but then industrial feels like the same map over and over again
  8. It would be making the game more like the original which would have a side effect of making it easier. Cheating implies doing something with the purpose of gaining an advantage. I'm pretty sure any actual cheating would be more qualified to be considered cheating.
  9. Do you think if you are taking so much fire that you have to duck and hide that your morale should be the same as if you are in a clearing with no aliens in sight? Having large amounts of alien fire heading your way is a good reason to feel a little down
  10. I first got to play the original XCom first around 2006 and loved it. One of my fondest moments was telling my friends how brutal the game could be, that it was more than possible to get massacred if you just walk down the ramp. They didn't believe me, and sure enough, the first mission I show them I lost a few troopers barely walking down the ramp (I didn't know about smoke grenades yet). I tried playing EU and while it's no doubt a quality game, but while playing it I kept getting the itch to play the original. That's when I learned about Xenonauts, and picked it up purely from word of mouth and the developers statements of staying true to the original hoping Xenonauts would fulfill that itch for the original. It certainly did, loving the game, and really thankful for the devs for taking the time to bring us this game From Austin, Texas.
  11. Is modding a game to make it more like the original cheating? I don't think so. It does make it easier but changing the difficulty is not cheating either.
