I just happened to grab the 1.09 release from HB and literally ten minutes ago realized it had an "extras" folder with really great stuff! Thanks for that... and yes, that dev diary was a great read. I can only imagine the roller coaster of feels. Will the extras be added to Steam? Not that it matters to me at this point, but I'm a curious fella.

I did, although not really hardcore testing... just continued on with a copy of my existing saves. I had no idea this was a thing, but I'm going to go try it right now!

Provided you didn't overwrite the original game executable with the CE version. If you did, and you have the game in Steam, just trash it and validate game files so it downloads the 1.09 exe again.

Are you trying to load from a ground combat save? I had issues with that even after fresh install. I'm guessing because of the various other mods I had. Just ended up loading from a save right before ground combat deployment.
