  2. Hi all, Just to let you know that I have been messing around with SweetFx and some of the effects work with Xenonauts making it look more vibrant, at the moment I have just added HDR. If you look properly at what I have written the focus is not just on guns, it is how leaving them out completely at the start of the game has a negative effect on the Stats of the squad and the squad cannot be utilised properly and how that change effects a number of other important things in the game, but I guess you simply choose to miss out those other important points and just make the issue about guns lol. Oh and incidentally because of the way this mod is and breaks them game in a number of different areas and ways, one can argue that this is a fault with the mod! I can see that giving positive critical feedback on this forum is a bad idea, because all that happens is that no one really listens as they are incapable of accepting feedback unless it is to say how great the mod is and sycophantically and fawningly kiss the modders sphincter.
  4. Feedback is always welcome if its not given in the form of a complaint. Apparently not as you do not understand what positive criticism is and that is why you have become very defensive and closed minded.
  5. One thing that I am learning across this whole forum is that it is of no use giving anyone any feedback at all. Why? Because you all CRY like little girls.
  6. I would just like to say that while this is a really good mod it does seem to break a few things. Starting the game with no weapons at all is ludicrous and on top of that having to manufacture each and every item from scratch is even worse. What military organization would set up a crack team and then provide them with no weapons at all especially if the danger was imminent. Also when you start a game you have squad members with different abilities e.g some good at shooting some with good strength etc.. So what happens here is that when making weapons it is most likely that one will make rifles for each and every squad member as quickly as possible, meaning they all become rifle men and this may not be a good idea because of the squad members individual skills, so to me this breaks the game to some degree. Also when one shoots down a Ufo especially at the start of the game, one is forced to hit it with an airstrike rather that send in their team to deal with the crashed UFo and salvage any Alien technology simply because they don't even have a minimal amount of weapons already provided for them, again to me this breaks the continuity of the game. So it impacts badly on squad members skills at the start of the game as they can't be utilitsed properly. One can't go straight into a mission on a crashed UFo straight away because of having no weapons at all. It also has a negative affect on the researching of Alien technology because one has not been on a mission straight away, it wastes valuable time. The Aliens are overpowered and ones team is quickly dispatched by the aliens. It would be much more sensible at the start of the game to provide a limited but intelligent weapons load out to begin with.

  8. Does anyone know if there is a way to get territory back once it has turned red? Hi all, I was playing Ufo Extraterrestrials last night and noticed that once an area was lost to the aliens, it could be taken back by invading the alien base and either destroying the main part of the base or killing all of the enemy thereby reclaiming lost areas. Could something like this be possibly modded into Xenonauts at all?

Grenades cannot be relayed from squad member to squad member unfortunately however what I have discovered while playing through Xenonauts is that C4 can be relayed from one squad member to the next, which comes in very handy, oh yes make sure that if you do relay C4 make sure you only prime it when it reaches the last squad member that you want to get it to otherwise you will go out with an almighty bang.

The whole point is about it being ALIEN to human beings and that is why they can't use it without it being researched and studied and figured out, and then used by humans that is the whole point of researching ALIEN technology so that one can turn it against the Aliens. Just admit I that I am right and stop creating STRAW MEN arguments to bolster your position. Looks like I will just have to rely on Modders to sort this game out as you DEVS obviously are incapable of taking a feedback about the game at all and as for construtive criticism I think that must be an ALIEN concept to you Lol.
