  1. The 1997 movie was pretty good on its own, and has a great visual representation, minus the power armor of course. We shall not talk of the second and third movies. They do not exist.
  2. Young people from all over the globe are joining up to fight for the future. They're doing their part, are you? Starship Troopers. A Sci-Fi Classic about politics, war, infantry, and aliens, and a great action flick from the 90's. What better fit for the Mobile Infantry to make a small appearance than Xenonauts? This is a small visual replacement only mod for the Jackal armor in the loadout screen, and the Jackal Armor for your squad while in ground combat. There is a second link to a blue version for the loadout screen that does not include the changes to ground combat units below the main download. I know some people would rather keep the blue, or not download 300 megabyte for such a small change Due to the nature of how Ground Combat units are built (Many small images for every animation at every angle with every weapon) The file size is quite large at 310MB) Some screenshots for you window shoppers of course: I don't know if I will take this further and add more MI related changes, such as ranks or replacing the M16A1 with a Moreti rifle or not, but if I do I will update this thread with new links I'd like to thank Jsleezy for giving me permission to use the changes I made to his excellent Real Armor's Mod, which you can find Here . Highly recommend it as it adds a huge increase in quality for a part of the game you do spend a lot of time in DOWNLOADS Full Version (Loadout Screen + Ground Combat color changes) (303 MB) Blue Version not including ground combat color changes (1 MB) INSTALLATION Drag n' Drop into the main Xenonauts directory and merge folders+overwrite files. As always it's smart to make backups before you make any changes, just in case something goes wrong somewhere Join the Mobile Infantry and save the world. Service guarantees citizenship.
  3. I can do simple color changes, but beside the basic, Jackal and Buzzard, there's not much to change without making them look wonky. As far creating completely new armors for the ground combat sprites, that's way outside of my talent range.
  4. Just changing the Jackal Armor look 320MB of 3,800 .png images
  5. I had no idea Photoshop could do that. Time to google how that works real quick. Thanks for the quick reply Wow that was easy and fast, already finished. Really appreciated Gauddlike, Never knew Photoshop could do that
  6. I hate creating a thread just to ask a stupid question, but I could have sworn I saw a few days ago a post linking and describing a small little program that can automate simple changes to the huge number of images that make up all the different stances, directions, animations, all with each weapon individually, for the ground combat sprites? I can't for the life of me find it again, or If I'm remembering what it does correctly. So I'd like to know if it can do what I want it to do, which is simply change the color of the uniform. I just don't want to manually open a thousand images, swap the colors, and save a thousand times. Cheers all
  7. Really like the mod. You wouldn't by chance be interested in editing the Jackal armor a bit to be a little like so: Just on its own for lil' ol' me? I suppose I could give it a try myself and see how terrible that goes. (You wouldn't mind if I left the helmet as is if I did? It's almost identical) But until then, I'm really enjoying what you've done thus far. Pretty crazy how much a minor modification can completely change the feel of an entire game I spent about half an hour in Photoshop mocking up a really terrible example on top of your work
