  1. Explain this more, because Im not sure its a bug..... CE EXE 0.25hf introduced a "fix" that you cannot heal any tiles on the ground anymore. But you should still be able to heal a ground tile with a stunned soldier for 5hp/5tu....and you can repeat that several times.... be sure your solider is not just dead but really, truely stunned. Try just unlocking some stun weapons (volt bat works great for this) and attack your units then try a revive.
  2. Squeaky wheel gets the grease as they say. Speaking of which, I really dont mind bug reports as it helps everyone and I like bug-free games as much as you guys, its when I get posts bitching about balance that I dislike.

Researches.AlienPlasmaTechnology Researches.AleniumExplosives Researches.AlienAlloyFabrication (requires Researches.AlienAlloys(AND)Researches.Alenium) Researches.AlienElectronics If you already unlocked ANY of these things above in a previous version of the mod (ie, if you are using an old save file from before 1.4.2) it will not unlock.... This is a common issue when changing researches.xml, if something was already unlock the game WILL NOT unlock things retroactively with the exception of researches that simply require an item/weapon/corpse.
  4. Its because the improved weapons required an alien corpse to unlock. Dumb I know. Its changed in the next patch that will be coming shortly. v1.4.4
  5. I already knew it was an engine bug. Ive had it happen before....its strange that its now doing it to the laser ammo though, because before it wasnt. Maybe it was a bug introduced by v1.09 vanilla.....not really sure. Try v1.08 vanilla and see if it occurs there.

Stat progress is pretty much same as XNT, with a exception that I made ranks slightly harder to obtain because I was finding that I was getting to MAJ and above pretty fast with all the new toys at my disposal. Heh. Yea, I would say the progression is ready to go, but I would definitely recommend caution if playing ironman because if you happen across a crash or some other bad bug, it could ruin your playthrough. So Save often for the purpose of preventing losing your progress to some issue. As you can read above, I am still working through several bugs. Its a HUGE mod as you can imagine and I am ONE PERSON. So bugs are going to pop-up, its just something you'll need to be prepared for.
  7. While the CE EXE enabled a few more categories, I've already tried to use the others and found they didnt show up. Also the categories are hardcoded from what I've discovered, adding a new category doesnt do anything as far as I can tell. I'll might try experimenting further though. I will investigate when I've got time. Truthfully, I have never used a vehicle ever.... lol... so this may take some time to get to. But I will try and get it fixed for the next patch. I never advise using old save games for this very reason. For one, you WILL miss out on new researches and 1.4.0 definitely had severe crash issues, thus why I had to issue patches for it. In anycase, 1.4.2 + 1.4.3 PATCH is what you should be using at the moment.

  10. That is very strange. The only difference between XNT and this is that I've updated the /MAPS/ and /TILES/ with the contents from Skitso's ultimate map pack 2000 v1.1 and Kabill's latest farm/desert/arctic map packs and put in a new gas type in gas_gc.xml..... these things are working elsewhere, so best suggestion I can offer is to go grab those map packs and try re-copying those two folders... sorry I couldnt be of more help here.
  11. Its a vanilla game bug, i havent a clue why or how. But its doing it to laser ammo too now? well thats just great, sigh.... Any clue if the duplication effect works if you unlock it through normal means? (ie researching Laser Weaponry?)
  12. ...I'm having generally bad connection to all Google servers and Youtube oddly, but every other site works fine... manged to watch the video though. Yet again, another really strange bug! Best advice I can give is to reinstall the game and mod(s) and see if that resolves it with v1.4.2 I just uploaded. You might have bad files, i really can't say. Also, to take a screenshot, run the game in a window, like 1280x720, make sure the game is in focus and press ALT+Printscreen. For future reference.

  15. Got me man, I've never seen the game all messed up like that before. Are you using unpacked sprite atlases that Chris from Goldhawk posted as a fix for bad performance by any chance?
  16. You didnt install the mod correctly. LOL. Uninstall Xenonauts entirely and start fresh: 1. Install Xenonauts v1.08 (or v1.09) fresh/vanilla 2. Download XNT 5.31 firebat and extract those files to your game folder, overwrite everything. (also follow their install instructions to remove the main menu animations). 3. Follow my previous instructions (in the first page, down below in the change log area) on how to fix the AK47 animations 4. Extract Xenophobia 1.4.1 + the hotfix i put up in the downloads section, copy that into your game folder and overwrite everything again...
  17. I posted a hotfix for buildings.xml late last night on the NEXUS....SORRY bout that. I was messing with buildings.XML for testing the base stuff before I packed up the updated and didnt check it....bah
  18. I did re-check UNSC weapons again, but I dont have Linux so....they worked fine when I tested them on Win7. It could be another weapon causing the crash for you, my rough guess, but I unlocked and tested everything before I packed the mod to specifically check for this issue. I wonder if its because the Spartan Laser doesnt unlock ammo, try this HOTFIX I made for you and give it a shot. I simply moved the M6 Spartan Laser to unlock with the Particle Beam and ammo.
  19. Yup. I set my troops to 999 cap. But if you want the red/green/blue bar to show more than 100, you've gotta edit a few LUA scripts. Inside of gameconfig.xml Look for <soldierDevelopment>Then underneath, set all the globalMaxProgress= to whatever you want your cap to be. For me, i set it to globalMaxProgress=999 To edit the bars to show more than 100, you'll need to edit sequipview.lua. I believe the bars in combat already scale, so you really just need to edit the bars for the base's equip screen. The fastest way to find the values is to search for max = 100, but you can also search for: statapstatresstataccstatrefstatbrav Have fun!
