  1. Hey Solver, any thoughts on whether a fix is likely to cope with broken saves that have lost planes like mine, or whether I'm looking at a restart? cheers.
  2. @Ragefury - no XNT here, just maps, lore+ (with Solvers fixed research xml file) and CE .25HF + latest executable. @Solver - cheers, let me know if there's any more info or saves etc. you need, or fixes to test.

Hey Solver, In case it's useful, here's another save with aircraft problems: -shrike returing to base gets stuck a 0m -squadron of 2 marauders gets stuck the same way at a different base Had been playing quite happily with the new executable you posted, which had successfully fixed this game when it had a stuck Shrike earlier.   6. Thanks Solver, save game does indeed load. It's not my night though, if I save a game from inside a tactical mission I now get a c++ runtime error when I load it.

  8. Getting a CTD loading 0.24 saves, is this not save game compatible to 0.24?
  9. Play the game on Easy!?! Might as well tell us to just rip up our Man cards! I'd agree that the strategic layer is currently a little too unforgiving for my tastes, but walking away from the game for that reason would be like chucking my guitar out because it needed tuning. As an alternative to going full neckbeard and playing on Easy, I just dived into the settings and gave myself a bit more starting budget, problem solved for me. Remember kids, it's not cheating, it's embezzeling, which sounds alot cooler.
  10. December was a big month. Lost some experienced guys but stopped a terror mission, stomped on an alien base, started getting a third base up and running. Shot down lots of corvettes. Mopped up the crash sites with Jackal armour and laser weapons. Feelin' goood. Chill funding council - I got this. Then came the aerial terror missions and bombers and fighters that swatted my planes out of the sky like paper aeroplanes, and some brutal base attacks that left my best guys dead or quitting for a quiet life as a crash test dummy. The final nail was the end of month spending review, which left me with money for bus fare home provided I hitch hiked the last half of the way. Ouch. Back to the drawing board. The original X-Com was one of my favourite games and I must say that this remake has done a great job or recreating that feeling of creeping dread on the geoscape, and the the worry of sending my best guys into the unknown on the tactical missions. So thanks Goldhawk, testers, modders and all - I'm having a blast Hm... this time I need something better than Foxtrots ASAP, need to light a fire under those scientists...

  12. Encountering the same issue in v1.06. Started when I right clicked to unload a 67% mag, now all mags are showing as depleted to 67%. This persists across missions, savegame available. Might be the same issue a chap on steam describes here http://steamcommunity.com/app/223830/discussions/0/540743757827819548/
