  1. Nope he was at the third w, and I am not counting the capital W as a wall. But mhm, trying it with soldiers is a brilliant idea. Thanks!
  2. Ah, thanks for the answer. I should be more careful then.
  3. Damn... as I feared the forum formatted it. The alien was at third w.
  4. Hey there, I do not know I can repeat the situation or not but here it goes. I had a soldier looking from a window, overwatched of course and an alien (one of the starter ones, blue uniform) was standing 2 tiles next to it. I don't know how the forum will format it but this was the situation: S Wwww A Small w's denote walls. So when I ended turn the alien turned up and shot my soldier point blank without moving. Is this a known bug? Thanks in advance.
  5. Um hey I'd hate to be a burden but assets/launcher/extras/DevelopmentDiary.pdf says: PLACEHOLDER DOCuMENT Some great Stuff is coming! and nothing more? Is this the document?
  6. 'They're in /assets/launcher/extras/ - you're right, the buttons are currently broken. We'll fix that relatively shortly I hope. ' *headdesk* thanks!
  7. Is yours a steam copy or a gog one?
  8. Beware of the alien, the mutant, the heretic. In the grim darkness of the present there can be only war, and research To be honest I am planning to make a Xenonauts' Uplifting Primer if I can find time
  9. Actually JA2 is one of the few games that has matured with the passing of time. With the 1.13 patch it became even better, and the vanilla version was, and still is imho, one of the few games you feel like you are in a paramilitary assault against a foe which outnumbers and sometimes outguns you. You cannot, barring some of the cheats, go rambo mode and expect to survive. A lucky shot to the head usually means death and death of one of your team members or yourself hits the other people hard morally. I still play it, I think 15 years have been passed since I've first heard of it and installed it into my first pc, and it still has a place in my harddisk. Yeah the resolution is... a little bit problematic but after you got used to it you still have the same sense of serious action. My character, a sniper with a Dragunov rifle loaded with depleted uranium ammunition and night scope can own a lot of people but not all of them for example. You gotta plan every move carefully, use flares and grenades and also silencers... considering it is 5 dollars on gog right now, it offers you fantastic possibilities in tactical sense, the best part? You can use a lot of these tactics in Xenonauts
  10. Hello there, For starters I thank the Goldhawk interactive for creating such an awesome and down to the roots game. I have bought Xenonauts from Gog, and the launcher has a menu item called Extras which have a novelette, development diary and credits subitems. None of those items work when clicked? Is this a normal behavior? As in those items are reserved for preorderers only or is something awry? Kindest regards
