  1. Great news!!! Please take care of releasing a day 1 GNU/Linux version for Xenonauts 2!
  2. Well I can tell you there were no reapers on that map, that much is certain.
  3. Thanks Chris, I have eventually been able to recover that game by using the game editor, thanks to a suggestion I received in the general forum. BTW how is it possible that it is a reaper lockup? I didn't find any reaper on that map! Am I missing something obvious here?
  4. Thanks for the heads up, I tried with the editor and I was finally able to continue with the savegame! Thank you very much, I was worried about losing my campaign!
  5. Thanks friend but... it doesn't work! I am unable to find the savegame in the load menu. I guess this is because I am still on 1.51? I believe I copied the file in the correct location: me# /home/steam/Xenonauts# ls -l-rw-r--r-- 1 steam steam 1575044 Feb 7 21:11 AutosaveIM2015-01-30_22.56.02.sav.ori-rw-r--r-- 1 steam steam 85765 Feb 8 02:25 g1.sav-rw-r--r-- 1 steam steam 4642 Jan 30 23:39 gameconfig.xml-rw-r--r-- 1 steam steam 18738 Feb 7 21:11 __newGameSave__.ori BTW, where could I find this editor? Many thanks and regards!
  6. Is anybody able to load this save game? It crashes on load on my pc. If anybody is able to load it and play one turn without issues it would be great! Better still if they give the save game back to me one turn later, where perhaps it won't crash anymore! Xenonauts.zip Xenonauts.zip
  7. Hello, I have an alien turn that never ends. I don't know if there are any reapers involved, I didn't meet any in this map although I have already killed several enemies. I am running version 1.51 of the game under GNU/Linux, iron man mode. I would be very happy if you can help me to fix this, I would hate to lose my iron man campaign! Best regards, Xenonauts.zip Xenonauts.zip
  8. How do I get 1.5 on GNU/Linux? I have the game on Steam.
  9. Hello, is the update available for GNU/Linux? I am still getting 1.09 on the launcher...
  10. If I try to run the "experimental" build from Steam, the Xenonauts Launcher tells me I am still at 1.09. Am I missing something? I am on GNU/Linux. 1.5 sounds great, I look forward to give it a go!
  11. The save files are in your home folder, just copy them over and you should be fine.
  12. I found another map where that terrible slowdown is happening (terror mission). I am attaching a screenshot of one of the worst (i.e. slowest) areas of that map. Would it be possible to give it the same cure offered for the industrial map? Regards
  13. The new files work too, no slowdown and no crashes (GNU/Linux). Why saving savefiles in home folder should be bad? Every application saves personal settings in user's home folder. It would be nice if xenonauts savegame folder would be hidden (just put a dot before, e.g. 'xenonauts' -> '.xenonauts'.
  14. Many thanks, it seems to be working! I just loaded a save game that was slow as hell and it seems to be working fine now! What did you change? I will keep testing (using "new" GNU/Linux version).
  15. I have tried the GNU/Linux version (1.07). Everything seems to work fine, with the exception of that pesky awful slowdown in industrial maps that makes the game basically unplayable.
  16. It happened the same to me once with 1.06, soldiers started mission with 5 ammos on 12 max in their rifles.
  17. Sounds interesting, going to try this. Too bad that I suspect the slowdown in urban maps has not been fixed yet...
  18. Well perhaps not really overpowered, since you have to spend many TUs if you need to move (uncrouch/crouch).
  19. Losing soldiers in almost every mission is part of the fun.
  20. +1 agree 100% you are not the only one
  21. In that case, how would you explain that the problem has been fixed for me without chaging drive? I have been using a ssd btw.
