  1. I can't figure out how to fire rockets at an area. I can't imagine it's not in the game, but I only have the option to fire if I can see a bad guy. :(
  2. So I've decided that I'm going to put X2 aside and let it bake a bit more before committing my precious game time. Here is one particular observation. Hopefully it's helpful. Targeting enemies seems to be broken-- or, if broken is too strong a word, then how about "consistently, buggy." What happens is that I'll look at the battleground from one perspective and be able to target an enemy-- but then, upon rotating, I will no longer be able to target the enemy, i.e. the reticle will not turn red. This happens unpredictably but regularly. Rotating it back usually does not fix it (but sometimes it does!) I'm a programmer by trade, so I did my best to find some sort of pattern so I could maybe provide hints to your debuggers-- but, alas, there is none. Sometimes, if I switch soldiers and then target enemy upon switching back it works-- but other times, not. That bug alone makes the game unplayable for me. Note I said "unplayable for me." The game is certainly playable for a certain type of gamer / debugger with more patience / free time than I-- it's just a bridge too far for me personally. Mad respect for you guys-- just constructive criticism. I have high hopes!! And I'm stoked-- sprites are crisp, and, when it works right, gameplay is smooth. I'm sure you will get there. PS, if there is some fix to the targeting issue, please let me know!
  3. I am about to sit down and start playing the Beta on GoG-- just successfully loaded the key and installed. The last time I played the game (through Xsolla), it was missing a ton of what I would consider bread-and-butter features (e.g. research). When I started the game for the first time, for instance, i couldn't figure out how to hire scientists (so I assume research is still missing?). Could someone provide a list of the big-hitting items that are currently NOT included in the game so I know before I start playing?
  4. hello. Sometimes when I come in for either a terror mission OR a "landing ship," the map "glitches out." That is to say that the terrain is only rendered directly around my troops-- beyond a certain radius, it's white squares (rather than just being the black squares of fog of war). It's so distorting that sometimes I can't even see terrain (walls, doors, etc) next to me. Sometimes I can play through these maps... but they are no fun! So I wanted to let you know aobut it... and ask if there is any work around. Thanks.
  5. Hi everyone. When I prime the C-4 with a soldier, the game seems to freeze. I can move my cursor, but I can't click on anything to progress the game. I wanted to make you aware.
  6. hello... I can't for the life of me figure out how to put armor on my soldiers. I've researched and created it... and it's in my stores... but I can't figure out how to get it on each soldier. Any help? Thanks!
  7. The v.1.06 was a mistake... I meant v.1.03. Regarding plasma weapons... so you can't use them directly... I have researched laser weapons if that's what you mean... but is there a "human plasma" gun that you will eventually be able to research? I'm a little confused.
  8. Hello. V. 1.06 is the first version I've played, though I'm a veteran X-COMer. Everytime I pick up a plasma weapon, it is automatically sold. However, I am still able to research plasma pistol and plasma rifle (even though I never have one in my stores). Even after research is complete, the weapons are still auto sold. Also, once the research is complete, I can pick up the weapons and use them in ground combat... though they too disappear when I get back to base. This pretty much is halting my progression... is this a bug or am I missing something?
