  1. Hello. I'd like to ask You for one, important for me feature. Limits on ranks. So we don't end up with army of commanders after a short period.

  3. Hello, I'd like to ask You for a feature, that some misses and some hates. I'm talking about limiting number of high ranked soldier like in classic UFO. It is something i really miss in Xenonauts. This topic was brought many times durring development, but it was rejected, beacuse the ranks system is only an indicator of how developed is soldier. But on the other hand i found in config files morale bost for all soldiers (within ranga or just for presence) from each rank (and morale drop for death). I'd like to creeate a small mod modifying some files to change game experience to more war-like. I'm going to increase dropship soldier capacity (and aliens crew too for balance's sake) and reduce it's range so that multiple strike teams in many bases would be necceccery(not just an A team flying around the earth). Something like real military hiererchy would be inevitable in this kind of mod. I know that many people don't like this system and prefer internal Xenonauts ranks (based on experience) but i'm sure some would enjoy this as an optional feature.

In original X-com i didn't liked, that killing aliens was more profitable than taking them alive and the only gain was a piece of information about their species/spaceships/other species after interrogating the first captive. After discovering martial solution any other leaders or commanders was useless. So why don't we get some random intel about aliens operations, after succesfully taking prisoner high ranked alien? For example after capturing and interrogating common soldier from light scout we can learn about his goals(his mission, target etc.), when we force alien officer to "confession" we can learn about location of alien base, planned attack on city X in the nearest future or for very short period of time we can see movement of aliens craft without need of radars. Of course it will require some way of communication with aliens, like learning their language, but it could be done with 2-3 researches. I think it will be interesting way to fight alien invasion.
