  1. Oh God you are going to castrate my grenadiers now too after collecting my veteran m60 squad's gonads with the relative tu thing? Great...
  2. I now go all no gun grenadiers with 2 shields from the start, it really makes the average starter soldier last much longer+ it seems that they blitzkrieg maps faster then conventional gunwielding soldiers.
  3. I don't like the new relative TU firing costs at all. If you keep them please state somewhere in the ground battle interface how much the different actions cost for that soldier without me actually having to try that out every time before i make my final move.
  4. ^^ Although the Chtulhu idea is fine by me too. I recently got Eldrich horror and i love it, can't wait for the expansion.
  5. Are you sure you are playing the newest experimental version? Shields got heavier recently and later in the game shields still have their use but are severely limited by stun damage of plasma cannons in the open.

I like that +a special mission with a base or something you have to assault to get back their confidence, it's not like they are suddenly fighting on the enemies side fighting other nations or shooting down xenonaut planes, they just did not see enough results for their investments in their region.

Im in medium difficulty quite late in the campaign i don't find the ground combat fun anymore due to plasma cannon spam, cover does not matter anymore as it is wiped out by one shot that can miss by 2 or 3 tiles from somewhere across the map. Then there is the stun and suppressing aoe value of the weapon. I don't mind seeing some enemies using it in a andron terror mission but about half of them using it is getting tedious. Did i mention how much i love seeing enemies shoot it twice in one round?
  8. After trying to recreate it i found out that it has something to do with attempting a reaction fire with a scatterlaser or plasmacaster while having no ammo. I have a reliable save of it, i can't attach here. But i have 4 other interesting save games i would also like to email someone who might find it useful.. *A reaper in alienbase that will crash the game if it is killed by guns or grenade while i had no problem killing reapers before on the same mission. *A reaper spawned inside a rail or something in the same base that crashes the game too if killed but unlike the previous one it crashes the game when stunned. *A charlie above a landing site that crashes the game after engaging and loading it. *Predator armour guy stuck in a carrier wall after following a blinded path. Just send me an email adres and ill send them.
  9. When i get a reaction fire with my trooper that carries the scatter laser it always crashes the game for me with a never ending scatterlaser soundeffect. This is kind of odd because i had a very scatter laser heavy game 3 weeks ago in a stable build and i never had crashes like that.
  10. I got a reliable save of this crash in version 21 build 3, Does a dev require a mail of it?
  11. My head hurts after reading that.... Like i said streamlining. So for something basic like that you are saying i have to download mods? Why don't they let modders complete the whole game? Anyway the small logo selection screen is already counter intuitive with how we have to sidebar/mousewheel through the scarce amount of logos we got, id hate to think about how crappy it would be to select with 20 more custom logos.
  12. I would like to see an option to make the class logos appear constantly above the health energy bars in the group row so you can select certain soldiers much faster.... In battle tend to spend allot of time clicking random healthbars looking for a certain soldier. Speaking of class logos: i would like to see some more of them or maybe to save time, just be able to change the colours on the old one would be good enough. Lets give an example why it could be useful, lets say i got a lot of research going with allot of soldiers and i have 1 or 2 plasma casters and wolf armour for them, it would be nice to be able to give them a let's say a blue colored heavy weapon class logo to distinguish them from the plain old m60 guys. And being able to make a new class out of an existing soldiers kit, just a save-as new class option, it's getting tedious rebuilding every new class from the ground up until the last grenade. Ofcourse being able to edit your own starter basic class kits for all new games would be cool too in the options menu, so you don't have remake and save and assign the same basic kits every new game you start. As an example: i like my shieldguys to carry no pistol and a boatload of frags, sniper loose extra ammo and atleast 1 frag,, assault with less ammo some frags and a medkit and for my rifleman more frags less ammo. i have to rebuilt those every game i restart which feels allot like work.
  13. Would it be unbalanced if there was a plane that could find alien bases? Sometimes you are sure theres a base somewhere but you cant pay a visit. Of course the range of the base detection equipment should be pretty short and maybe draw lot's of agro from all nearby enemy ufo and even make bases launch them in defense. I suggest some of those American Awacs or anti sub planes/helicopters that their navy uses/used. Of course you could combine it with awacs capability if you think it is too one dimensional. One another note why does it take so long to rearm and refuel planes? From some videos ive seen they have high powered pumps and ordnance loading equipment to keep downtime to a minimum.
  14. I blindly moved a soldier into a blacked out house in the latest x patch and ended up being in the middle of a room inside an object unable to move out.
