  1. The latest experimental. I do not have the save file anymore.
  2. I was playing a mission and moved my heavy into a building. He doesn't have enough TU to look all the way around, so there is a black spot behind him. All of a sudden, a shot comes from across the map, goes through that black spot and kills him. Turns out that black spot WAS A WALL. This is a huge oversight in the aliens shooting algorithm, also, on a related note, are aliens supposed to be able to shoot at you long before you can see them?
  3. While playing some missions I have noticed three things. First, local forces don't always spawn with a gun. I found this out because I kill middle east local forces for their AKs. Two, if they have a gun, they cannot move or reaction fire, once again found this out by hunting locals for AKs. Three, AK has been super nerfed to the point where it is useless and may actually be causing problem two. I have noticed, through extensive use, that the AKs effective range was halved with this experimental version and you also took away the 30 round mags >:C But I think the local forces may be refusing to fire because the AK, even with an aimed shot, becomes so inaccurate so fast that I had to have soldiers with 70 aim just to use it without hitting the guy standing behind them.
  4. I read somewhere that this is being removed for both player and aliens, they plan on re-working LOS eventually to be along the lines of that if a unit is to fire on a target it has to be within it's 18 tile and view angle in order to shoot at it, otherwise they cannot fire at it.
  5. I found what the problem is, loading at any point during a base mission seems to cause some assets to go missing and makes the mission unplayable.
  6. It seems to have just been an isolated problem, probably save corruption, because I started a new one and just butchered the residents of a Caesan base. BTW, as a side note, how do I post a save?
  7. I deleted that one a while ago because I came across a game breaking issue with that save that for some reason made me unable to win alien base missions other than blowing them to tiny little pieces that was only happening on said save
  8. No, I don't care about that. I mean, even after bringing one back it didn't show up in the games list of weapons when equipping soldiers.
  9. After clearing the alien base the game didn't send me to the results screen so I looked around to check for an alien that my death squad missed somehow but there was nothing. I reloaded back to the beginning of the mission and replayed it but the same thing happened. There were, however, more aliens this time around.
  10. I have always found riot shields to be completely worthless. Whenever I use them aliens seem to shoot right through them and hit the guy in the back
  11. So, I brought home an AK-47 that I "procured" from the local forces in the middle east and I set it to the default weapon of my assaults. It isn't listed in any menu but can still be equipped if you hit the button to equip the default equipment.
  12. Ooh, I just noticed something cool. So, the next mission I did after this one was done immediately before Charlie even came back to base and everyone still have the same ammo and equipment from the previous engagement. I just love little things like that so much
  13. Do you mean edit what the default is for a class? You can do that too, you select the load out you want to edit/add and then edit the equipment. After that, click the 'soldier roll' button and hit 'set equipment as default'. After that, just hit equip default loadout on everyone that you want using that loadout and it will give them the gear if it is available.
  14. It would make sense to just lower the TU cost for it in accordance to a certain stat, like bravery or reflexes.
  15. Airstrikes always confused me until I used one. At first, I though it meant spend 20k to bomb a site and kill some of the aliens to make it easier. Then I used one, and it was the opposite almost. Maybe just add a '+' to the text?
  16. I don't know anything about game design and am new here, but, do you think that adding a unit that has a lower rate of spawning and uses a different template would work? Or is this just entirely impossible?
  17. Woah woah woah, bigger dropships? What? How come you get bigger fucking dropships AFTER getting plasma weapons? Is this going to be in an update or did I not shoot down a certain ship or something because the largest I have managed to take down was a corvette... Didn't get corsairs fast enough and got wrekt
  18. I would perfer tripwire explosives to motion sensors. I mean, they still function like motion sensors in the thought that they let you know where the aliens are but instead of a beep it's an explosion and instead of letting it live it kills it real good... and while I am thinking about it...stun trip mines/wires... That would be amazing...
  19. Ummm, I am not sure what you mean. But, I think what you are looking for is editing loadouts for soldiers not in a squad. This can be done from the loadout screen, there is a bit on the lower left hand side that should say unassigned and that should list all the stand-by soldiers you have.
  20. So, I got desperate during a UFO raid when my last couple of soldiers fled so I grabbed a plasma rifle off of a dead guard and proceeded to snipe everything that ever lived. It seems it only has an accuracy penalty on movement which is odd. If this is intentional then the trade off needs to be more severe because as it stands there is no point in not using alien plasma weapons. Also, I think that when the player starts making human plasma weapons the ammo should cost something to make looting alien bodies for power cells worth it, maybe make the power cells cross compatible or 'convertible' with human plasma weapons or at very least make an option for auto sell to be turned off.
