  1. Haha, thanks! I used to do a lot of let's plays, mostly as a hobby rather than trying to rack up view counts. I stopped though, but making this video has kinda made me want to start again. Btw, has a bug like this ever popped up before?
  2. So this was an interesting bug. I had sent my drop ship to a mission marker, and it reached the marker at the same time as my research for Jackel Armour finished. I didn't realize at the time, so I just clicked Allocate Research. As soon as the Research Screen loaded, the window popped up telling my that the drop ship arrived and if I wanted to begin Ground Combat, so I clicked 'yes'. So it loaded, and when you look past the map borders, you can still see the Research Screen, and can even highlight and kinda click the different options, though nothing will happen besides the clicking noise. [video=youtube;JhTPiFGTlXs] Ignore my babbling, I hadn't planned on uploading when I recorded it.
  3. So should I be verifying my files? I did it a week ago and nothing turned up wrong. I'm doing it again anyway, but just wondering.
  4. Black Floors like my last comment happened again. It was a daylight mission on a Arctic map again, and the black floors were inside the building again, though a different type. This hasn't happened on other maps yet for me. Clicky here for the screenshot.
  5. I actually bought X-COM: UFO Defense, X-COM: Terror from the Deep, and X-COM: Apocalypse yesterday. I'm loving them all, and they've aged well imo. I really like Apocalypse for it's change of pace, though I haven't put too much time into it since I wanted to go in order. When I searched XCOM: Apocalypse on various forums, I was pretty surprised when most people disliked it. I've really liked all the XCom-likes, though if I had to put them in order of favorite to least favorite: Xenonauts UFO: Afterlight X-COM: UFO Defense X-COM: Apocalypse X-COM: Terror from the Deep UFO: Alien Invasion
  6. Yeah, UFO: Afterlight has a similar mechanic. You have to produce all weapons, ammo, and equipment. You can then cram a bunch of stuff in your UFO/Dropship, and your soldiers will replenish their loadout when they enter the ship, and the ship will replace lost/taken items when it reaches the base.
  7. Does carrying the soldier when the mission ends do anything? I've never thought of trying it.
  8. I wanna add that this happened to me too, in the same version. It was a night mission on a Arctic Tileset. However, it was only in the 2 tube buildings. You can see it here.
  9. Ah, so he just happened to stomp outside the door? At least that little surprise was funny, as he almost immediately took a shotty to the stomach. I remember when v20 Stable was first released, I had all my dudes clumped up nicely against the door, then in the turn I meant to invade, an alien had thrown a grenade at the door and killed all but 2 of my Xenonauts, and they were both panicked afterwards I believe. While that sucked, it was kinda funny too.
  10. Wait, they don't already do this? Because in my last mission(current experimental build as of 3-16), I had gathered most of my squad outside their ship, and when I ended the turn, a Sibillian came out, and was promptly gunned down by 2 Xenonauts point blank.
  11. Are Aliens throwing grenades through UFO doors again, or am I missing some new mechanic? Anyway, for details, it was the 3rd crashsite of the game, a light scout, full of Sibillians. Went through the mission like normal, and went to breach the Light scout. Normally I huddle 2 Shields and 2 Assaults near the door, others nearby but not too close, and the vast majority of the time 1 turn is more than enough to take out the Light Scout survivors, so no need to worry about grenades. Anyway, the door was closed, and as soon as the turn where I planned to storm the ship started, a huge explosion killed 5 of my Xenonauts, badly wounding 2 others and berserking them, and the other dude was just chillin' by the tree. Door survived the blast. The mission wasn't going very smoothly, and after that I kinda rage quit. I'm pretty damn sure there were no more aliens outside the craft, and there certainly wasn't one anywhere near the ship, since I checked with the only sane soldier left, so unless they teleported, it was from inside the ship.
  12. Didn't know how to explain it better title wise. To be specific, when a nation contacts you about a crash site, the kind that you didn't shoot down, and asks you to dispatch a team. While I can choose a Troop Transport and it automatically goes to where the crash site is supposed to be, the crash site doesn't actually show up on the Geoscape. The Charlie will go to where it supposedly is, but it just hovers in spot and doesn't do anything. When I call it back, the message will pop up again, asking me to dispatch a team, and again it didn't show up and the Charlie just hovered in place, the same spot as the last time. Eventually I just started clicking cancel repeatedly in order to ignore it. I then noticed my projected funding forecast was at -$135,000, so each cancel or call back may impact relations with that country, since I was only 10 days into the first month, and there hadn't been many UFO's. I just tried going back to see if that funding loss was all in the country with the missing crash site, but as soon as I hit resume, it crashes to the desktop. That particular save was before the missing crash site 'event', and there were no other auto-saves to load from yet.
  13. Maybe he got spawned in something. In the mission I just finished, a Sibillian spawned inside(or on top) of a crate, and couldn't move, and I couldn't aim at him with a gun either. I COULD target him with a grenade though, which I was more than happy to do. He could still target and shoot me fine though.
  14. Sweet. Is the reordering thing something guaranteed before the launch of the full release(or soon after), or something you're considering?
  15. Is there a way to re-order the roster? Specifically in the screen where you choose the load out for soldiers? Being able to hotkey roles closer together, like Riflemen on 1-3, Sniper on 4, Shields on 5-6, and Assault on 7-8 would be nice to know. Also, having them listed neatly there would be sweet too. The role filters on the list that shows all soldiers doesn't work too well either, though that's not the one I'm wondering about. Thanks in advanced for all replies(in case I forget to say so)! Edit: I'm using v20 Experimental Build 5 btw.
