    Hey everybody, hope I'm posting this in the right place. As the title suggests I'm doing a Blind play though of the vanilla Xenonauts on my YouTube channel. I love the genre so hopefully I won't suck too much I'll be uploading 2 episodes a week (Mondays & Fridays) and the videos will hopefully be about 20 - 40 minutes long. If that sounds like it could be something you guys and gals might like here's the link to the first Episode: I'll be naming my soldiers/planes/etc after anyone who comments and basically wants to die for the good of humanity Thanks GFB

    I personally really like the firaxis game, though I agree its not really XCOM and EW goes even further away from the original. Really hope Xenonauts is commercially successful I'm pretty sure it's cult status is assured!

    yeah I'll get there, just makes a refreshing change that the air combat isn't just this tacked-on-half-baked-thing

    I think because its so close I doubt I'll get too deeply into it now, just get the basics down and wait for the full release. I am awful at the air combat... I think it'll be very rewarding when I get the hang of it though!

    I wanted to wait until Xenonauts was completed before I played it but I finally cracked. I've not gone very far into it yet but... MY GOD THIS GAME HAS ROCKED MY BALLS OFF (in a good way) I've been happy to wait knowing that the game will benefit and I'm glad I'm not disappointed. Chris and the team have done a first class job from the look, sound, UI and so many little bits of detail that really add to the immersion. Thanks to the Devs and to the community for the thousands of hours of testing (I read the forums on an unhealthily regular basis). My social life is going to be in tatters

    Thanks for all the replies. Loving the namesakes! I will be buying sooner rather than later I think, not because of the financial sense as I think it will be well worth top dollar, but because I'm too excited for this game not to get it!

    Hi everyone, I've been very excited about this game since I read about it over a year ago but put off buying it yet because I wanted to play the finished game and couldn't trust myself with having access to the alpha and latterly the beta. My question is should I give in to the temptation and play the beta now or should I wait patiently for the finished game in all its splendor? GoatFetishBob
