You know even though I agreed that certain things are a bit too hard right now, I want to chime in one more time. I think it's important for the aliens to have an advantage around mid game. They are an advanced people after all! I like the idea of needing to be very careful about picking your battles until you can gain some of their tech. It only seems right. However, the way things are now it feels like they become too hard too fast and then you can never recover (at least I can't)... We need a better way to hang in there while perhaps still taking their savage blows.

If the next update is a long while away I might check out your mod there Sathra. I agree that it's very tough right now! I understand it's still being balanced though, so it's all good.

I found one last night and they slaughtered my guys... It was insane in there!

Happened to me last on on my first terror mission. I had almost cleared the map without any casualties and I had the (I think last) alien so screwed in a building that he spent eternity taking his turn trying to figure out what to do. The game never actually stopped responding, I could alt tab just fine, it simply never left the hidden movement screen. For me, there were no sounds looping.

I'd be interested in more of a broad strategic guide as opposed to a mechanics guide. I understand the basics, but what I don't understand is when to build a second base, what to build first, whether or not to build a second radar station, etc.

After reading this, I sent mine to 15% and I added more female names. I hated seeing so many Janes and Barbaras!

I'm surprised more people aren't having this problem. I obviously can't even play the game with it this way. I've been fooling around to try to find out what's causing it, but I've had no luck so far.

I am having this problem too. I have the Steam Version and after about 15 days the game freezes and I can't click on anything. I am forced to exit via control alt delete. That said, I was able to get it past the 15th day as long as some kind of action occurred, but then it just froze on the 22nd day or so. It just keeps doing it over and over again. Not sure if it matters but I'm playing on normal difficulty on iron man mode.
