  1. Memorial is added by XNT Mod V5.31 (Final) Firebat in the Manage soldiers screen in a new tab and is called "Hall of Fallen heroes", and is removed by Xenophobia
  2. Thx for the info, these BOSS beast should not apear in the early missions when fighting with a rookie team and beginner weapons. I still think that the amount of initial weapens,grenades and medkits is not enough (buy limitted amount from store). It's good that they are not limetless but now i have to run to dead aliens to take their weapons because I don't have enough ammo. Hey Slayerjerman, why did you remove the "Memorial for Tab" in the Hire Soldiers screen, I believe this is still present in XNT mod. Layout of new screen is much better but I really miss the memorial.. Thx.
  3. I am using Mod 1.3.7 with Xenonauts.exe from installation. (did not update to ;8 yet) Crash mostly happens after end turn when C4 explodes. ( Using basic ballistic rifle and grenades). Omega seems to be way too strong, especially at the beginning of the game when you don't have enough weapons or ammo.(and i play this in easy mode to test it) It would also be better if we could buy a minimum amount of basic weapons and grenades from store instead of making everything from start. Thx for the good work!
  4. Impossible to kill "Omega" , 5 C4,different grenades , multiple gunshots and still is not even wounded. Also crashes my game frequently when trying to kill it. On game reload sometimes becomes invisble when standing next to it. Impossible to finish game due to crashes and immortal Omega. Has someone the same problem?
  5. Take save game before research of "Alien Plasma cell" , afterwards you have no more crash wit energy tab. (1.3.7. OK) Thanks!
  6. I have applied patch 1.3.6 but game still crashes when I hit the "Energy" button. ( Or do I have to restart a new game ?) Any chance to get back the "memorial screen for dead soldiers"? Nice Mod!!!
  7. yeah , looks good. I prefer more ranks though. One of the main reasons I played x-com was the promotion system and the feeling to be there together whith your troops and follow there history. If current promotion system does not change I will most probably not continue to play this game. I just don't want to fight a battle with a whole bunch of commanders ( that is totally unrealistic). So, all for the ideas above (with addition of 2 more ranks if possible) and some small info screen on died soldiers.

  9. Noooo, they should come in as privates. I don't care about the stats , they could be better trained or have better stats no problem. I already try to delete the first 10 because they start higher.
  10. Yep, also the first 10 should start as private. Personally I would like to see more ranks ( at least two more) and a different calculation system. (Limit number of officers and promotion based on all soldiers not just the ones doing the mission). I guess that ranking is not very important for most people because the game still needs a lot of development and tweaking. But for the endgame it think it’s very important because that’s what keeps you playing as well as little things like a memorial screen and so..
  11. I play the experimental build with Sathra's mod 5x and xtended soldiers mod from Pinetree. Fixed hiddenmovement screen by remaming map to old. This version is for me very playable, especialy night missions are not a problem as before. Good work!! and hope the mods will be integrated into the game.
  12. It's not the jpg "hiddenmove" that causes the problem.( does not change anything if you rename or remove) If you rename map hiddenmovement to hiddenmovementold it's ok , you see title Alien turn + all movement. ( even better than with hidden movement screen)
  13. First impressions: Night mission is much better 'explored areas are still slightly visible" , also liked female portrait with purple paint in her hair. Still hate promotion system which is way too fast and makes every soldier a commander aftere some turns. Bugs: Alien shooting from behind door in UFO, when entered UFO could not shoot when next to alien. Had CTD at end of mission, so have to start mission over again because it was not saved . When launching autosave always CTD.
  14. Missing the mod from War Games " WG Mod (for v18.5) " The art work of the medals is just very beautifull.
  15. Night missions are still very troublesome. Aliens see you very well in the dark and from far away? Throwing several flares at the estimated spot of the alien still keeps him invisible.It is only when you advance that he becomes visible at the already by flares completely illuminated spot.
  16. I have applied Mod 4.1 as well as the Xtended soldiers list mod. I have played some missions and this looks already a lot better. Thx Sathra & Pinetree !!!!!!
  17. I was always hoping that someday there would be a solid remake for x-com and finally Xenonauts gives me hope again. Unfortunately I stopped playing the game as it is because it’s too difficult for me (especially night missions). The aliens still see you from far away, and you’re whole team just gets shot trying to find them and running towards them before you can shoot a single bullet. I could try some mods from (Sathra) but what bothers me most is the promotion system where soldiers are promoted very rapidly and if you play well (or cheat) you end up with a team of officers in battle. People always speak about realism, history … and so on , but this does not seem to bother anyone. Still, overall this game looks very promising and brings back the old nostalgic dreams.
  18. The ranks, promotions, medals and memorial screen are very important to some people and are an important reason to play this game. They like to feel like a real commander and know what happens to their soldiers. So I am all for a memorial screen.
  19. Played 5 scout missions and seems to be ok, no CTD. Map where I had problems before was the one with snow and lots of water.
  20. No more constant wall pounding sound but got CTD after save during mission and cannot reload saved mission. Had no walls in this mission, shall try other one. Says Visual c++ runtime error. With previous file I had no CTD
  21. In normal difficulty mode I have the impression that Aliens are now Super heroes. They know exactly where you are , they shoot down the wall, than shoot you and they rarely miss. Especially at the start of the game it is very difficult to survive, or am I such a bad player . I don’t rush in but play with squads of 4, take cover .... I will try easy mode now and hope this is more forgiving…. For the rest great game, seems to be stable now since i don't have CTD 's like before.
  22. Even when I restarted the game , it was always the same soldier who was revived . The name was" William Patterson", I guess he must have some Vampire blood or so...
  23. Combat in V 18.51 seems to be more difficult although I have chosen normal difficulty as always. Aliens shooting from very far away and see through walls. I have to run a couple of turns before I reach them, but then, more then 70% of my squad has been severely wounded ( these are startup soldiers with no armor). Shall test a little further ...
