    And something to play Whack-a-Alien with, because it's better to have a HTH weapon that you do not need than to need a HTH weapon you do not have. It is a philosophy that has served me faithfully over the years. It occurs to me that the option for a bayonet or simple butt-strike/clubbing attack would be nice too.

    I haven't been able to play since V14 but, wouldn't it stand to reason that smoke be your best friend when assaulting? One at the door; then some poor schlob to open the door and, if they survive, maybe toss a couple more smoke inside the ship?

    Grumpy, would you be willing to mock up a diagram or even take a screen shot of a reenactment? It feels like formations are the real cause of many of these FF-related incidences, as many of the stories I've read are eerily similar.
