  1. Could be...it's tough to say without comparing the waveforms. Perhaps I'll boot up Pro Tools when I get home from work and take a look. Until this post, I just assumed my sound hardware was over-emphasizing the offending frequency range.
  2. I don't know how much fine control your engine gives you over audio settings, but if cutting the volume makes it sound weak, using an EQ to cut 3-6 dB around the 4K range might solve the problem without totally neutering the feel of the weapon.
  3. I tend to agree with the OP; the hunter machine gun sound is quite piercing compared to the other weapons in the game. I've found myself adjusting the game volume quite frequently when using it.
  4. I normally play at 1920x1080 fullscreen, but the problem persisted in windowed mode, and across all the resolutions I tested when I was trying to work around the equip screen freeze.
  5. I'm still having the equipment screen lockup, as well. It seems somewhat random, but inevitably after 1-3 clicks on different soldiers it will lock up. Normally I play on 1920x1080, but I played with a few different resolutions, just to see what would happen: 1280x720 - works 1280x768 - works 1400x1050 - works 1680x1050 - freeze 1776x1000 - freeze 1920x1080 - freeze I haven't yet played at length with the "working" ones, but I clicked around at random on the soldier names for about ten seconds without any problems.
  6. Since V20 was released, the old title screen artwork is no longer displayed for me; instead the main menu background is the Geoscape.
  7. I also had this problem the first time I tried to play on this build. The game froze when I tried to select a specific unassigned soldier from the equip screen. In my subsequent attempts, it's now locking up whenever I try to access the equip screen at all.
  8. I dunno if this thread is still being watched, but I thought I'd rep my hometown just in case: Vancouver, Canada: 1298, 0921 This is about as exact as I can be until the revised Geoscape is released, as it looks like part of the coast has been swallowed along with Vancouver Island.
  9. I really like the little icon idea, it does exactly what's needed without any added clutter on the map.

  11. Oh, wow. Like I said, I've only been playing a couple weeks, so I just assumed I was meant to be strapped for cash all the time.
  12. Not a problem, per se; I'm definitely enjoying the extra money, but if it's intentional it seems like an overcorrection.
  13. I've only been playing for a couple weeks now, so I don't have a strong baseline established for what's normal...but this struck me as odd: I placed my starting base in Central America, and had a pretty uneventful first month; very few UFO's out and about, and about half the ones I did see escaped to space before I could catch them. Probably only had about seven or eight missions in that first month, one scout and the rest light scouts; no terror missions. That's all well and good, but then the end of month came along, and North America seemed...unusually generous with their funding: http://i.imgur.com/yQLlxdC.jpg $422,400 funding increase from North America! Is this strange? I don't think I've ever gotten more than a $40,000 swing in one month, let alone $400,000. This is weird, right?
