  1. Congratulations on this massive milestone! I'm not sure how this works and I'm sure you have plans but you need to get the game on the front page of Steam - in the main 'Featured Items' box with a 'V1.0 Released!' tag. Don't under-estimate the power of Steams' main page for getting people to notice. This will increase your sales massively, or it should do, and you certainly deserve it after all your hard work. Well done and thanks for making an X-Com fans dream come true.
  2. Thanks for the reply. I think being on the new 'early access' section of Steam would give the game another boost in publicity, so you should definitely do that if at all possible.
  3. Thanks for the update. Has there been any progress with getting the game on Steam? I'm actually waiting for the game to be available on Steam before I purchase as I don't want to use Desura. Maybe it could be added to Steam as a 'pre-purchase' with Beta access (like Stardrive and Legendary Heroes). Just curious if there has been any progress here. Thanks again.
  4. I do think more regular updates on the main site would be helpful. I know writing stuff like that is a pain in the arse when you are very busy, but the last update was over two months ago (a news piece talking about a Beta release which never happened) and it probably doesn't give a good image of the games progression. Yes the hardcore XCOM nuts will visit the forum to check for more recent updates and information, but the casual gamer might just look at the main site news and get the impression that development has almost stopped. It could be costing you pre-orders or potential future sales. Plus your updates on the forum are very well written so you could probably just copy/paste them onto the news page for the most part. Anyway, just my two cents. I'll go back to anticipating the release of your game. :-)
  5. Is this because you are a smaller developer? It's just I pre-purchased Fallen Enchantress through Steam a few weeks ago (due out 23rd October) and Steam has been allowing people to download and play the beta from their client for a few months now, and when Stardock patch the beta Steam downloads the latest patch. The only requirement is that you pay for the game in advance. On the subject of Xenonauts I haven't bought the game yet, and the Desura situation is putting me off. I'm waiting for the game to be available through Steam. One way or the other though I will be buying your game - can't wait for the release!
