Have tried a number of times to replicate and it seems it was a once off but I am getting the game 'CTD' once in a while. It has crashed during ground combat as well as during base maintenance.

V19 build 2 1st Month 26th Sept Two of my F-17's intercepted a light scout in Northern Russia. I was using No.1 f-17 to lure the scout and bring the second in from the side. Due to having used some afterburner the first F-17 was running low on fuel. Just got into range with the second and the message came up that the first one was out of fuel and did I want to return to base. I looked at where I was and thought that if I sent the first one home the second would not have a problem killing the scout. So I clicked on 'Yes' to send the plane back to base. Didn't get to finish the fight as the game decided to 'CTD'. Haven't had a chance to replicate this fight again yet, but will try to see if it happens again.

V19 Build 2 Had a Sebillian trying to disguise itself as a transformer in a powerplant.

Research of datacores When you capture an alian craft you get a datacore that is then destroyed. Question: What is a Datacore? Is it a processor or a Storage device? If a processor what about researching it and then being able to sell it to the supporting countries. ie. Auto sell like plasma pistols etc. If it is a storage device then once researched it might allow a small boost to radar detection. Example: Light scout datacore researched > gives 5% short range boost and 1% long range boost to radar capabilities due to finding communication info about the alians on the data core. Once capped on radar boosts eg. 50% then it wouldn't be such a jump if we do get the hyperwave rely eventually I think that we would get some info from the datacores as to how they communicate and would be able to search for communications.

Accessing via the base button (adjusting research+Engineering) then switching to the second base. Haven't tried directly clicking on base. will give it a try and see if it works ok Edit: OK seems to work fine when clicking straight on the base. Then went back to the savegame and clicked on base. Did not equip any armor or touch any screens. Went back to Geoscape. Clicked on base Tab then went to second base Able to load armor without CTD. Not sure why but seems ok now.

Had a couple of CTD's after trying to equip armor on soldiers in my 2nd base after having shipped the armor from the first base. Have tried this a few times and all CTD. Seems to work Ok if I create the armor in the second base though.

I run Raidcall and Xenonauts at the same time and have been for a while. Have not had any problems like you are having. Definately check settings and drivers

Looking good so far chris. Been playing for 1 1/2 hrs on 17.1 (patched). So far no CTD's. Only thing I can fault so far is the standing dead aliens. Here is a pic. Left alien is targetable but the one on the right is actually dead Had this on most maps where the dead are pretending to live. Are we looking at the first of the Alien ZOMBIES.......?
