  1. Why does an organizational motto matter? Shouldn't we be discussing a sort of catchphrase associated with the game instead as a 'motto'? Xenonauts: Fear The Unknown Also, is the organization itself actually called 'Xenonauts'? Or is that a term that we're using for the alien invaders who are both xeno in origin and nauts in their en-devours? If the organization is called Xenonauts, where is the origin of this organization? Assuming it could be anywhere in the world, the motto should be universal. Is Latin the universal language? ...Gosh I am so ignorant of things. But as for military mottos I think... Unite and Survive / Survive and Unite ...Probably works best considering the circumstances. Also, I totally believe the glass should be 'half-full' as far as the Earth is concerned and the general atmosphere -- if the atmosphere is sticking to that heavy and dark X-com style. Love it.
  2. Marketing? Mascot? Clearly we need Hello Kitty the Xenonaut. In all seriousness, I think rather than a 'mascot' perhaps an 'icon' would be better? Like Goldhawk Interactive has a very simple and effective icon. [EDIT] Then again... Mascots really do create that memorability factor... HMMMMMM
  3. All these titles are in no particular order. I've chosen not to repeat what's already been listed. I really like games with great atmospheres that suck me into a different world... Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines Amnesia Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl Fallout Or games that really let you adjust and change the way you play. These are the games I tend to make my own (RPGs, Strategy games)... Neverwinter Nights Space Rangers 2: Rise of the Dominators. Mount and Blade Stronghold Dungeon Keeper 2 Civilization IV The Sims 2 or 3
  4. I will say though it might be necessary in the future to segregate between game owners/preorders and site visitors. When the game becomes more popular, the community will flood over time, and soon chaos will rule -- human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria!
  5. A bit off topic, but I really did appreciate the calm and understanding nature of the Xenonauts boards. So I'm looking forward to reading many more interesting and rewarding discussions in the future that stand in stark contrast with what's been going on at Project Zomboid. Sometimes communities can get really... well... spoiled, perhaps is the word - like spoiled milk. So looking forward to your moderation sir/madam!
  6. I cannot wait to preorder. Accursed Paypal, they're no pals of mine!
  7. *overlords. Also, yes, agreed! Here here! Whoop whoop and all that. I'm Jecrell. I've been on the internet since I was five years old, so about 20 years. I'm currently translating a novel from Japanese to English and going to University. Also, I have childhood nostalgia for Xcom, which I still have (although just one of the floppies).
