Looks nice with the icons, but I like the old "feel" to the map a bit better. Looked a bit more dark and "doomsday is coming"-kinda style

Thanks for the update

Molotolv cocktails and suicide belts
Sjaka replied to monoko's topic in Xenonauts General Discussion
It would be nice to have the option, so if one of my men got killed in hand to hand, the alien doing it, would get a scar or two. Kind of like the trick with the armed proximity grenades on everybody, to make sure guys who fell to chryssalids, would get a kick in the balls, when they got up again -
I'd watch it!
-
Yeah, that's because they ROCK, and make HEADSHOTS and cool stuff all the time. I wouldn't like to be near a person with a gun in each hand either, because then i'd be DONE for. I mean, it worked out fine in JA2
-
IMO I would rather have a V15 release when Chris gets back from vacation, in opposition to a hasty V15, and time used to make the current progress gamefiles playable
-
yeah, the knife could give normal damage, and the wrench could give stun-damage. And the sound also. Must have, haha

If the drones were to be unmanned, and without weapons, I guess they would only provide scouting. In game terms, I guess the deployment of the drones could happen when the drop ship was about to land, as the drop ship sprays the surrounding area with 10$ drones, scouting the area around the chopper. Kinda like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJv8VZC1UVo Except maybe not a million drones, but seven, or the likes. This would of course take away the experience of scouting the area by yourself.

I just skimmed this thread. Period

yeah, I haven't noticed the flashbangs until now, but nice "addition"
-
I usually stack two or three xenonauts behind the tank, since I haven't experienced it "dying" yet. No problem using shotguns in open enviroment then, since the aliens don't shoot through the tank.

As someone pointed out after the whole restore-business, I agree that the old badges look more badass

What's been going on with the website then?
Sjaka replied to Chris's topic in Xenonauts-2 Releases & Patch Notes
Heh, sneaky way of getting a lot of twitter-followers Nice with an update though -
yeah, I missed the forums. Tried going in at least two or three times a day

What about Ikea? Get them swedish meatballs
-
Well, I'd like to use them. When will the vampire-sprites be done, Chris?

+1 for club of people who has lots of free space on their hdd . Using the shield to counter reaction fire would be extremely useful, so I'd also very much like the shields to be in the game. And as others: rather wait longer for the "full game", or if an early release is a priority, then a free dlc-pack would be nice.

yeah, I usually build my first base in cyprus, or whatever the most south-eastern point in europe is. The second base gets put in the most western part of central america, so the dotted outline covers all of the north american sector, except Greenland. Equipment in the second base is radar tower, hangar, living quarters and storing facility. When the first hangar is done, I build another next to it. When that is done, I build another hangar, and attach a Chinook, as the one in my european base probably cannot get to a crash/terror site in america. And of course, two radar bases in each base
-
yeah, IMO i'd rather have the game to get finished earlier, than the development team having to fix quickfix bugs in between builds
-
Since the loading screen before missions notes, that "loading times will obviously be faster in the finished game", I would think that the final game might also perform better?

PLEASE add an option to auto-resolve air/ground combat!
Sjaka replied to Serben's topic in Xenonauts General Discussion
+1 for autoresolve. While leaving the crash site means no penalty, the lost loot and +/- penalty from the autoresolved mission is lost, if i can't autoresolve it, and if I think the crash site is too small for me spending half an hour, with my crack-ass hyper commando squad, who can eat the three aliens in their sleep -
I'm also all in for autoresolve. I can imagine, that after doing many missions with small ufos, I'd like to be able to skip a mission, but still get alenium and whatnot from the mission.
