Still playing the V19.1b. Crashed again with red text on screen. I only got a short bit at the front. 'Invalid Achievement {or something like that} and a complaint about 20 then the game closed. Chris I can send you the file if I can remember how to do it (It has been several years.) assuming this is a new bug and not one of the same old same old ones. I was not sending stuff to a different base but throw a stun grenade at big green lizard guy. It went off right in front of him and that got me red texted. Is there a limit of 20 to the number of stun grenades I can take and use? My bunch of losers almost need the lizards to look in the barrel of the gun for me to get a successful shot. That includes one of my clueless snipers too. Anyways, it's 21:15 here now and I'm going to do something else before bed. My guess is you should be getting up soon Chris, but it's Saturday for you so I might not see a reply for a while. Tired (retired) Gator.

Okay.. playing V19.1b. I'm having the game close out when I try to move items to another base. It gives me a price and when I click on it, even when I have the money, it closes the game. Sends me back to my save in early March (game time). Also I'm not clear on what Mr. Alex is talking about. I found no Reapers in the base I tried to do in Africa. I assume also he was playing V19x which is NOT comparable to V18x as you all kindly pointed out. Also, I'm curious as to how many hours of game time you have racked up.. I'm over 400 hours. Does anyone know if people are managing to actually play the first year of the game. I made it to the 20th of August of that first year, but with only basic weapons and armour (Vers18) that was about as far as I could go. That was playing the Violet Knight version. The last version of 18x I played was Azure Trident on game day July 8th. If I can avoid the end game button claimed to be a transfer to another base, I hope to get through April in game. Okay... I'll try the V19x games, though if they are that much better and almost stable I'm not sure why GOG is still pushing out the V18x versions.

Chris... glad to see you are back. Liked !! If I have the troops and the Drop ships I can do all three terror attacks at one go. Once I did two attacks with just one Drop ship, but sent more healthy soldiers for the second one. Did NOT like!! Alien base in Africa. Could have been anywhere. The aliens beat me up badly. I still had three soldiers left, two wounded but went to retreat. I also hauled all the aliens and my dead soldiers and good weapons to the entry point. Then when I went to pull out my three soldiers all dropped dead, even the one who was never wounded. That means the only way to do those missions is 1) wait until I have very good equipment or 2) just don't do them with anything valuable. That two soldiers survived with only 1 hp didn't make me feel better. At least the Drop ship was not lost. 3) reload the game at the start of the mission, but that feels too much like a cheat. Liked!! The terror missions don't require you to kill all the aliens who are visiting. If you fight back you can get a WIN but not lose your drop ship, all your people. It's a sort of run, run, run away style of fighting. It took me a while to discover that if a base is rebuilding a ship that was destroyed, it only uses the engineers who are sitting around bored. Maybe that applies to the the damaged robots as well. Also, having two and eventually three fighters is needed to beat some alien groups. Losing all the aircraft from one base can make the game very hard, or even impossible. I DON'T like that some of the soldiers seem to be selling their fancy weapons and armour on the black market and showing up to fight almost naked. At least the fools are soon dead but it's tough to replace all that lost gear, I haven't actually caught any of them selling their equipment yet, but the stuff just disappears and I can't see another reason for it going missing.
