Went well. Didn't lose anybody except the rover. Much easier than previous attempts.

The persistent nature of the mission does help encourage the skipping. I'm about to hop into it with all warden armor and the mars rover. Will let you know how it goes.

It did, but I skipped it because of how difficult it was previously. Sorry if I implied there was a bug with that.

I would strongly support having some kind of map knowledge at the start. Even if it was just what you might see when the Skyhawk flew in.

On soldier difficulty, I didn't get my second combat mission until day 19. By that point I had the mars rover and 2nd level armor fully unlocked. I feel like there should be at least 1 more mission after the first with just basic equipment. Also, too much time staring at a map doing nothing for those 19 days.

Yes. I was given a gog key, which is why the game is in my gog library. But there isn't an option to download the latest build from gog. The only thing on the page is a "coming soon" badge.

Sorry for the late reply. It was a while ago, but I'm pretty sure I bought the beta from Xsolla.

Yes. I was able to download the latest build from xolla when that was still a thing.

I have xenonauts 2 in my GOG library, but it just says "coming soon" and there isn't an option to download the latest alpha build. Any help?
