  1. Oh bummer, although I do appreciate the new concept, now it is incumbent upon me to be mindful of my TUs. Thank you.
  2. As you can see I have chosen to reserve enough TUs for an Aimed Shot, however I am still allowed to move beyond reserved TUs. Should there be come kind of warning or prevention mechanic in place? Maybe yellow indicators if exceeding target reserve time?
  3. When I first go to the Armory, even though I am initially looking at the Primary tab, the Armour tab is also highlighted. Also my spell checker keeps complaining about the word Armour.
  4. I love this video idea. What tools are you using to capture the video?
  5. Good point, having been fired upon in real life, what alerted me to the location or source of the attack, was muzzle flash, then my eyes zoomed in on the attacker. Now granted some aliens have better eye sight or better sighting technologies, and some may have inferior. Likewise player sighting equipment or detection devices (motion sensor for example) would be helpful as well. Wonderful topic LoS, it has so many dimensions to consider, like my simple peripheral vision thread and the counter considerations provided. It is a game, and it cannot be a perfect real life simulation. Sometimes I have the LoS advantage and sometimes I do not. As Gunny Highway says, you adapt, improvise and overcome.
  6. I like this cheesy tactic, I use it and variants on it, like lining up as many soldiers as possible and open the door and then have them all unload all at once into the room. Now, common sense tells me that if I am on the defensive, I should have "locked" the door to begin with, forcing the assault team to blow the door (or wall) open, thus eliminating this "cheesy tactic" mentioned. And taking this one step further, in anticipation of the door being assaulted, setting some proximity mines/grenades to detonate as the assailants make entry. Just my 2 cents...
  7. I have a similar question regarding training. I am allowed to set training before I build a training center and when I do complete the building, I do not see any real difference either. What is the status of training in v4.2 today? Also regarding training, the strength training is missing from the pick list.
  8. I found the output.log folder, but where does this Mission_18_Ufo.json come from? I only ask because I want to make sure that when I provide logs and screen shots, I am giving all available diagnostic information that I can. By the way, the "red text" then ctd scenario, is that "red text" captured somewhere?
  9. I am not sure how the Operations Directory and a Scientist can get promoted. Is there a feature to the game that I am not aware of?
  10. It feels at times that games seem to unnaturally restrict the field of vision. In OpenXcom after I added a mod to increase the field of vision and it made a big difference in game play. Most games I find I am unnaturally turning (and burning precious TUs) to expose areas, and this is just not a natural feel to me. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peripheral_vision https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-maximum-human-field-of-vision Additionally I might add, I have been "surprised" by aliens standing next to me not only because I did not see them, but I did not hear them nor did I smell them or even get that weird feeling something is near by to me. All of this would be too granular to implement, but a wider field of vision would help some.
  11. I had just received a Mission Complete and looking at the summary screen. I click the continue button and got a quick flash of red text then crash to desktop. Please find attached the output.log and recording.rec file at the moment of crash. Logs.7z
  12. While selecting soldiers to assign to a ground mission, the list of available soldiers has overlapping text, needs some realignment to fit.
