  1. My team had killed 5 aliens and were trying to kill the last three in the spaceship. On the first round of my attacks, I shot out the back wall of the space ship and wounded one alien, not one of their engineers. On the second round of my attacks, I'm not sure if I killed the alien Soldier or not, but I was not able to hit the engineers. In moving my troops to get targets, I got the short burst of red type on the screen and game went to Desktop. A couple of points of possible interests. The aliens did not shoot back from overwatch. I could only force the door to the alien ship open. That door no longer closes for my troops, but only when the aliens have their turn. This was my first ground mission in version 5. Other probably irrelevant issues: There were green triangles marking the location of the alien spaceship in the wheat field. Not seen those before. Also this was a new farm map, at least new to me. If you are making new maps for us, Thanks. output.log
  2. I launched 2 interceptors out of my new base in Western Europe at an Alien craft with Psyons aboard. The alien craft was headed into Africa and when it left my radar range I crashed out to desktop. Of the two Interceptor only one had the new missile on board. The one for the other fighter was not quite ready. The only other thing which might explain the crash was I was playing with a save game which the first time I tried it, a day or two ago, failed to fully load. At 96% loaded the game froze. Current log file included but no recent save. I believe Continue loaded the file I made yesterday morning. If you want that file please ask. output.log
  3. I've made it to the Start of February without a Hot Fix causing me to restart the game. This is good. Now I didn't see any mention of the medical coming in Version 5 and it doesn't seem to be in Version 4. At the end of January (game time) I was taking out wounded Xenonauts because I didn't have enough otherwise. Some missions seven of my 8 soldiers came back wounded. Now some might have gone out wounded so that good. Best is none died. Still, having a medical facility that works would be a big help. Having soldiers who improve doing missions is good but less help if they come back almost dead. Worse if they do die. It's on the list, cost a million but says it's not implemented. Not going to be implemented in Version 5 either?
  4. The Xenonaut attempted to move to the dark (fog of war?) spot just in front of him. The space seemed occupied. I moved to soldier to where you see him. The invisible and hidden item did not show from the darkness. I assume this is an error in the map. Same map as my previous post but it shows buildings which might help you find the right map.
  5. Alien's turn. I see nothing. Camera stays where it was. I hear gun fire but I don't know what is happening. My turn. Screen Shot. Dead Sebillian. Three of my Xenonauts are in view. (See Screen Shot.) I should have seen this Sebillian come into view but didn't. The only way I know that my troops killed him (and not some stray satellite falling out of the sky.) was by counting bullets. Two of my soldiers had not fired, but the one marked used up a five bullet burst. The problem is I should have seen this. Keep this screen shot handy or use to identify the locations since my next bug is on this same scenario.
  6. Well in the case of my game, it was not at the end of a turn. I did find the screen shot I took which didn't get recorded. That is a GOG problem, so not your fault, as wulf 21 pointed out. I have had a similar problem before but not with Sebillians. The one thing I noticed was that my soldiers ran way from the aliens so they lost visual contact. In one case my soldier bled to death before I could try to use a medic. In the case of the stun gas being used, the gas clouds and cargo containers were hiding a couple of aliens, but one was still out in plain sight. Unfortunately that one didn't show within the screen shot. Still, I'm wondering if the disappearance of targets is confusing the alien AI.
  7. I have had a couple of crashes. I hate fighting the Sebillians after I shoot them down. The last crash was right at the end of the mission. Not sure about the others, since I also have problems with the game logic getting stuck and not continuing to play with me. In those cases the game doesn't crash but it just sits there playing or more not playing. I did go and find and save the log and save game files. I don't know if you people want the corrupted save. Not sure exactly which file it is, but I moved a bunch to a 'safer' place so they would not get over written.
  8. I have not yet complained about this one yet. It's obviously far from properly set up and I'm sure the staff at Goldhawk know about this. Not only is this box too small to properly format the names, but the people you send on Recruit Missions are not removed from the people available for combat missions. The same goes for collect wreckage missions. Hopefully when the Medical is available and functional those people assigned to heal will be noted as separate from the healthy people. I'm not saying we might have to send out partly healed people on combat, recruit or wreckage missions, but I would hope the choice is ours. Also, when a soldier is assigned to these missions it would be nice to have a name and not just a picture. Too many of the portraits are quite similar. Now making the assignment box larger should not be that hard. Twice as wide might work? 2.3x the width and variable length or scrollable? I doubt it's as easy as changing a single value for the width, but just doing that would give us something else to complain about.
  9. I know that the file didn't go with the original post as I had planned. It's sort of like the 'curse me!' moment you get when you realize you just locked the only set of keys you are carrying inside your car. I did try to send the log file along after I noticed that I 'oops' it. Check for another posting under my name, though I don't see it being listed here.
  10. Since the last save of my game appears to have been corrupted (I didn't try a second time to load it) I instead loaded the previous auto save and continued from there. Shot down Alien ship with 6 Sebillians aboard. I attacked and successfully completed the mission. Then got 10 or 12 lines of red text in the lower left of screen. I read about 1/2 the first line and then the game dumped me to desktop. I located a log file called output which from what I could read was full of unhappy messages and seemed to be at the time of the crash. I was hoping to find a copy of the the text that was on the screen in red. If it was there, the first line was not included. The file output is attached. It should help. Note: I used stun grenade to capture one Sebillian and to knockout one of my troopers. He was the one who was wearing new best armour. Two of my soldiers were wounded but none killed. 5 of 6 Sebillians were killed. I can't remember checking to see how many non-combatants survived, but there were I think three running around in the way at the end. Can I stun the civilians? They are really annoying a dumb. I'm not sure I can advance the game further than where I got today, so I'm probably going to play other stuff while waiting for the next patch. I do appreciate that you have been adding new item to research and craft. Makes repeated attempts to test the game more interesting.
  11. My team got into it's first fight with the Sebillians in this play through. The game had progressed to early February (game time). Game crashed out to desktop. Not sure what of this counts as useful. Not sure right now if I had killed all the Sebillians. I think it's possible, but can't go back and check. Game is gone. When I tried to restart in the same game, (I used the Continue button on the start screen), it loaded to 74% and froze. I assume the save file is corrupted and I'm not sure if this is connected to the game crashing. It may be a completely separate issue or not. I might be able to find and save the corrupted save file, if that is of use to you. Let me know. Just finding the file will be hard.
  12. Sorry wulf21. but that is not true. Only for first two 'free' labs and workshops don't count right. if you build the larger ones you get 0/6 for each and if you add personnel to them they will counts. Still, the counts for those first two are not working, work you can have 6/6 scientists or engineers if you play the game long enough and earn more people.
  13. A list of those problems known but unresolved would be helpful to reduce the number of reports you are getting. Also, you could Cross off the issues which might have been resolved. If you just delete them testers won't know they need retest to be sure the problem is fixed for them. New people don't know that it is a known issue that was supposedly fixed too. Examples. Game Crashes if melee weapon is equipped. Includes stun rod. {I'm not sure if your Hot Fix dealt with that or not. I don't know if I should test to see.} Picking up sleeping aliens doesn't remove them from where they took a nap. {This is apparently a known issue which will be addressed.} Arriving back at base with a captured alien. No one there cares. {It does not cause a scientific study, at least not right away.} Problem with screen ratio putting some text off the screen and other problems. {This is a solved problem, at least for my current version of the game.} I realize the stafff at Goldhawk do have to read all the bug and other posts. That is their job for which I hope they are paid. It's not my job and I prefer playing the game to reading about bugs, especially when a lot of the bugs are repetitions of the same problem. I do realize that having different people reporting the same bug can help to find exactly what is causing the problem. I also realize that hunting down and fixing bugs doesn't occur automatically while Goldhawk's staff are home asleep. It takes time and real work. So far, good job by the way. Using placeholders to cover for assets which are not ready does help.
  14. I would have given a screen shot, but I didn't get one. No save file either. What is on the screen is Alien Turn and the big box saying Hidden Action. The screen is locked up so I'm going to try and describe the situation from memory. On the alien's last turn 4 of them showed up. One moved through view in the lower right and is now behind a shipping container out of my sight. Two more aliens are already dead. There are supposed to be 8 Soldiers in the Dockside scenario. Area top right is cargo in boxes and stuff. There is one alien on the far side of that storage zone, with more storage beyond him. I think he shot and wounded one of my soldiers who had a shotgun. Two more aliens are out on the road going to the top left. I'm not sure if my soldiers have wounded any of them yet. My turn. My troops have quite a few stun grenades but no smoke grenade that I can see. My wounded soldier with the shotgun attempts to throw a stun grenade at the two aliens up the road from him. The grenade only goes half way and hits one of the concrete thingies. I throw a second stun grenade at the alien hiding in the lower left. That one explodes just at the lower end of the cargo contain he is now hidden behind. I set some of my soldiers to target the stun gas (probably just 1) and some at the upper end of the container if he comes around to shoot my wounded shotgun soldier. I moved my wounded soldier from the bottom corner of the box he is using as cover to the lower left side. If I had a screen shot you could see him below the Hidden Movement box. I probably had other soldiers attempt to kill the alien in the upper right of the screen, but all I killed was a box. I can't say which of my troops still has movement points to do over watch. This is either the second or third turn after my troop arrived. Two aliens were in sight when the plane landed and one of them shot and wounded my sniper before my turn really started, so while all 8 of my soldiers are still alive, there are all right near the plane. I think I've fully as possible described the situation at the start of the alien's turn. Not sure now if the alien in sight on the top right has taken his turn yet. If he did, he missed and my people missed as well. The alien on the bottom left has not shown up or done anything as far as I can see. One of the two aliens standing on the road to the top left runs into the stun gas and collapses. At this point the combat locked up. I assume the code to let the aliens fight can't decide on an action and so just stops. This is not the first time the aliens have locked up because they don't seem to know what to do. First time today though. I doubt this will be of any use in trying to fix the problem. I assume the other alien on the road in the top left is having it's turn but it could be any of the other three. Have fun with this Chris. I didn't end the game which is stuck on Alien Turn. What I did learn is that while the WASD keys don't scroll the screen to I can look at other parts of the scenario, moving the mouse cursor to the screen edge does. That left me check my facts above. In the top right there is one dead alien and another who is alive and arrived on their last turn. There are also two alien bodies on the ground in the lower left. I only remember killing one, not sure where the second came from. All I can see of him is two lower legs. He could have been affected by the Stun gas which is near him. If you are trying to determine which Dockside Scenario I'm playing there is a road with a blue truck on the right side which turns and goes to the upper right. The storage area at the top right is walled. The two aliens on the road came out of that area. It is possible that the other alien body in the lower left is the one I thought trapped further up the screen above the stun gas. There are only two aliens currently visible on the screen. 4 aliens are down {dead or sleeping/stunned} but that still leaves 2 more who could be trying to decide their next move someplace I have not seen them.
