  1. I wasn't really thinking of alien tech to be honest, more like if a UFO was to go down near a power station in the USSR the USA might mention it would be no bad thing if a few reactors got blown up. I think given the setting this wouldn't to far of a jump in the imagination to what might happen. You would be able to chose if you wished to conduct the mission or not by simply doing what they ask or not during the mission. I was only really thinking of very small changes in your score with countries, ie if you blow up the reactors it takes out some civs and ruins your score for that map, but if you do it you see a extra 5% on your money that year. I wouldn't want it to be a massive part of the game, just something to add more depth and give a feeling of affecting the landscape of the world. It also gives you a way of having some control over the places you can't defend or reach in the early stages of the game.
  2. Hi there Just picked this up a few days ago and am very impressed, really looking forward to where the game will go. One idea that I would like to see that I'm sure will have been mentioned many times before (if so, sorry) is sub missions. What I mean by this is that when you are out dealing with the last UFO you blasted out of the sky. Someone comes to you and tells you that that if you where to "accidently" leave with some items from the crash site, and hand them over you might find one countries funding looking a bit better next time. It should only happen now and again, but I think it might add something. Also this could be used to help the storyline along in places. And as a mechanic to make the game easier on lower difficulty settings. At the far end of the scale it could see you having to kill civilians from one country to complete a mission for another, with global ramifications.
