  1. This seems to only occur when an alien ship has escorts. When a fighter escort reaches 90%-94% damage (e.g. hit by two sidewinders) the fighter icon sometimes disappears but the ship is not destroyed, information text and the ranging line remains, the fighter can still attack and the attacking interceptor looses lock on the alien fighter. It is possible to re-acquire lock on a "disappeared" fighter by randomly clicking near the vanished icon. This has happened twice to me, and the other noteworthy point is is has only occurred when two fighter icons have overlapped.
  2. First encountered this bug today on the corvette mission (daytime). From inital deployment: 1) Moved vehicle out of chinook. 2) Vehicle upon moving close to edge of inital "sight range" did not reveal additional terrain. 3) Moved solider out of chinook behind vehicle. 4) Solider revealed additional terrain. From that point, vehicle seemed to only reveal terrain around itself. Retried this moving soliders first. Same thing happened.
  3. I have shot down in excess of 20 scouts, and while in ground combat I can see an Alien Power Source artifact in each scout shot down, in the post battle sequence, I have never recovered any alienium. The only time I did recover alienium was when I initated ground combat with a landed scout. Remove the power source if it shouldn't be there?
  4. I have researched the alien plasma rifle+plasma pistol, and the laser weapons reserch has not unlocked. Additionally, I have researched alien alloys and alienium and the alien alloy fabrication has not unlocked. I've checked the research file and as far as I can tell, the above requirements have been met.
  5. There's been a lot of discussion recently in this forum about our little solider boys, and I was especially intrigued by the discussions on personal attachment and involvement with soliders and training and recruitment. These thoughts lead to me thinking about "so what happens to dead soldiers?". Well, in every other tactical strategy game like xenonauts they get swept into the great digital beyond to compare notes with all the aliens they've sent there already. Would it not be lovely if the soliders that died didn't stay dead? That there was a percentage chance of dead soliders being whisked off by the alien scum and turned into cyborged zombies, that come back and attack the players own troops! Never mind the soliders, could you imagine the shock on a player's face if a solider he had been especially attached to was brought back from the dead to serve the aliens? I then went back and read the discussion on palette swaps. Oy vey. And I realised that this idea wasn't going to happen, not without a lot of effort and man-hours that don''t exist. So yeah, put this one on the nice to have pile... possibly for future DLC?
