  1. Are you going to fix the bug of a destroyed car still blocking the path of vehicles? There are a lot of maps vehicles can't move much at all because of vans and cars parked around the place. destroying them removes the image but the shadow remains on the ground and the path is still impassable.
  2. I wanted to express my appreciation to Goldhawk for their ongoing work with Xenonauts. I backed quite early and it was one of the first games I have backed in development. I was a little worried when they wrote a number of times "this would be the final release", that the game might be abandoned before all the bugs were fixed and content was complete. The fact you have not only continued to bug fix but add additional content like steam workshop integration is just amazing. I really like the way you have embraced the modding community and used various parts of their work and listened to us for changes to improve game play. I have since stopped buying into alpha/beta games as I have been stung a couple of times by unscrupulous developers. So many developers should take a look at the way you operate and follow your lead. In fact the only other developer I have the same level of confidence in are the guys making Prison Architect. Please keep up the good work. I will be watching for your future titles with great anticipation. uglyduckling81
  3. Why not just install it on Steam and have full access to all the experimental builds and stop complaining. Steam isn't the devil, it won't hurt you to use it. I would much rather they spend more time fixing issues for one distro platform than waste even a second turning into something bigger than it needs to be.
  4. Every time I run a corvette ground mission. I carefully clear the area then prepare to enter the ship itself. Kill or gas any aliens upon opening the outer door. This allows me to move into the centre of the ship with a double door to my front and a single door to each side. I moved most of my force in ready to open one of the internal doors the following turn. An alien opens the door instead and fires killing one guy. Then the rest of the aliens shoot from literally anywhere through the walls and tear my team apart. I didn't notice this problem on previous patches but now I always lose several guys on this mission and always in this same place. I have tried going up with just one or two men and spreading out but it just means those two die and I have no one left in a suitable position to attack the following turn. I can't shoot the enemy back through the wall. It's like a one way shield wall though it just looks like a regular wall. Is anyone else experiencing this? Also I have received the leader is present message try and take him alive but when I enter the ship he has in fact been killed in the crash. I guess that is the random factor of who dies in a crash which is fine but why show the message.
  5. So i've had no crashes in this latest build. However I had to go out, so saved my game. When I loaded back up UFO's no long appear in my game.

  7. Getting CTD just as the loading screen finishes but before getting the the UFO condition report. Also unable to use soldier inventory when it doesn't crash after load screen. I've tried several restarts to confirm these problems and I've also had a game with no UFO's appearing, to test the other problems in that game I had to wait for local forces to down a UFO.
  8. Thanks for pointing this out. Please note that at no time did I complain about this being a broken game as I am aware it's in Beta. I was merely pointing the fact that it's the most broken at this point in time that I have experienced so far. I was also expressing my concern of how close to their release date we are and how much work apparently still needs to be done. It's always good to have our resident trolls to make a useless comment. So thanks again. edit: On a side note I'm so happy to see the developers have put fixes in this latest patch for several issues which I reported as broken yesterday. Nice work team.
  9. So this latest build is so buggy and broken I'm giving up on it. I've been fiddling around trying to get it to work most of the day. Just when I think the game isn't broken to a bug I experienced before a different crash happens. Although I've been playing this game infrequently over the course of the last year or so, testing out various new inclusions this is by far the buggiest and most crash prone release I've tried to use. It's a bit scary to think how close they are to 'official' release date yet it's unplayable in it's current state. Hopefully they don't do a major publisher usual and release on a given date no matter the quality.
  10. Does anyone get UFO appearances in the current build?
  11. Started a new game, built buildings, Hired soldiers. Clicked on the soldier load-out tab (which now I think about it while I'm writing has no soldiers to customise as they haven't arrived yet) and the game CTD. I also experienced this with the previous build when I was placing a second base. Which I probably didn't have any soldiers to adjust. That's probably the problem causing the crash. Clicking on soldier load-out tab with no soldiers present. I'll test the theory now. edit: Ok so I have tested this now and every time I click on the soldier load-out tab before the soldiers arrive the game CTD. If I wait until they arrive the game continues as normal. As I said before it does this for any base you build. Obviously it shouldn't CTD for any reason but that tab should be usable without soldiers so you can set up what you wan't the default fit out to be. So please don't just disable the tab until soldiers arrive as the fix. edit 2: I have started a new game and there are no UFO's appearing at all. This is what happened to my last saved game after the new patch. I thought the new patch had broken my save. Even with a new game there are no UFO's. An alien base was reported eventually which I sent my team in for their first mission. The chopper gets to the point and nothing happens. They just disappear. This new patch seems to of totally broken the game.
