    So far am enjoying this build. Just out of curiosity, is it expected that when one of my soldiers are behind a building or scenery, the walls don't fade so you can at least see the soldier, especially tricky when trying to sneak down the side of a wall. Cant figure out if they are going to travel along the wall, or end up using TU's by detouring..... Cheers!!

    Awesome job guys!!!! Been a long time waiting for this day! Played around 2 hours of the release, and had a glitch where i couldnt esc to get a menu, didnt get any intercept notifications... had to ALT + F4 the game... but am loving it... reloading and gonna get some more game time! Congratulations again!

    Wow...... had a crappy couple of days, and didnt check any updates.... just got home from one heck of a day at work..... settle down with a cold beer in the hand, catch up on the internets.... and BOOM! what a nice surprise! Good job chaps! you deserve a pat on the back!!!!!! Now to get playing...!!!!!! This is just screaming along at the moment... you guys rock! Cheers ..... *glugglugglug*

    Build 8.9 is awesome! .... only glitch i got was a civilian that was half in / half out of a building when a new mission started...! with headphones on, some of the new music in a mission was creepy as heck... great stuff!

    Awesome news! And for the first time... EVER, Desura actually did manage to update the game without issues! Looking forward to playing me sum more xenonauts!

    Finally able to play... picked up on 2 things tho... 1. When looking at the chinook, there is a spelling mistake (i think) in the bottom left, where there is a panel of vehicles and soldiers on board, it is named as COMPEMENT ... not sure if that is meant to be COMPARTMENT??? 2. Had an issue where my soldiers could only enter the downed UFO once, battled like hell to get the guys to enter the back of the UFO again.... Other than that... awesome work!

    Heya Chris, Thanks, i think a standalone would be kewl, but dont break yourself in sorting it out, i am sure the issue lies with Desura.. I finally managed to get 8.41 installed... only took 6 hours..!!!!!!! Crazy! but looking forward to playing!

    Meh, I have been through the Desura Support forums, and tried all the suggestions, and also posted a request for assistance.... lets see what happens! Sorry about yer power cord! Luckily its xmas time...! hopefully someone will get ya a new one

    Just a short rant...! Desura is doing my head in..!!! With each release of xenonauts, it stays on validating files for hours when I hit the update button. So I had to resort to deleting the game files, and install... Now since v8.2 .... downloading of files gets to around 92%... and then just sits there...! Hence, I have not played Xenonauts since v8.1.....! Tried installing 8.41 this morning, and bam, there it is, 92% downloading, and just hanging there for the last hour!!!!!!! There. Rant. Over!

    I would like to throw my massive appreciation and congrats on the work thus far...! Having been an x-com freak, you know the kind... start playing after school, dinner comes n goes... and you give that famous line "sure mom, ill be just a few more minutes, then goto bed" .... and before you know it... the sun is coming up! Am so looking forward to being that engrossed in the final game! So far, loving the releases, and so looking forward to each release, and being part of the testing community...! You guys rock!!!!

    hmmm... 8.2.... much eagerness!!! have thoroughly enjoyed 8.1 thus far, bar a few crashes already mentioned in previous posts...! but awesome job all the same!

    is it normal for validating of files to take so long????? Still on 0% after half an hour....

    Ah man!!!!! i was staring at the game updates section... and did not recognise the reload icon on the xenonauts page... thanks for that... i feel like a right chump! first time using dasura!!!!
