  1. u could try a few thing

i suppose u followed install instruction by making a fresh installation

Xdivision is a massive mod, so avoid other big mods (graphic ones mostly are harmless)

to be sure u have the correct load order u could use the default setup tool in modding tools. sometimes it result in reording but deactiving all mods, so here's a screenshoot of the mods i have in use (some are not required to make it work of course)

another tip: open C:\u\appdata\roaming\goldhawk interactive\internal\scripts and delete all (scripts will be restored when u'll load the game): it could fix some problems and bugs, if script related. Here, in the Xenonatus folder, u'll find the log file too, that sometimes could be useful to find crash cause

I hope it help u to make Xdivision work

ps another little tip... in xdivision, to change rockets type when u equip man in the dropship, u have to do it manually, putting the rocket launcher in the hand of the owner: then u can drag it in the backpack

The problem is that soldiers with 80-90% bravery panic and run away after the first round. Even if I have all the necessary advantages and conditions on my side to win.

How to increase the panic threshold in a terror mission? Or turn off the panic altogether???

with a correct deployment, officer's bravery bonus help u a lot. Of course, if in the first round aliens kill a lot of civilian or military png, it's a mess...

i dislike this solution, but u can rise the minimum bravery for the soldier u recruit from gameconfig

Someone could think it's cheating, but increase to 16 soldiers the max loadout of all dropships, in my opinion, is a fair balance considerig in x-division even the weaker alien is a badass.

What i dislike is that sebillians and androns seem have no more aim malus from fire, since it limit tactical capabilities and, during terror missions, make for ur squad impossible to give even a little cover to humans png

  3. Install files in: Xenonauts\assets\mod\X-Division\soldierimages [soldierfemaleimages]

a few hair style could overflow some helmets, u can solve it by cleaning a bit their edges with Paint3d (or any other tool able to keep trasparent background) in the armour's folder

(backup files before making any changes is good)

  4.

first of all, u need an hex editor (i like Hexplorer)

in the example i'm using i selected the wrong icon for a new role: Sniper icon instead of Heavy Weapon one.

    1) open ur last .SAV with the Hex editor and go to    Edit => Find.

    1.thumb.png.fa819c5ebc2d506ec6bba2e4b1ae75bb.png

2)type the name u used for the role u want to modify to find it: what u care about is "uitextures/roles/sniper1".

    2.thumb.png.ec5f6d78bcde6367f48a2c8dedd440b9.png

3)use Find function again and type the name of the texture u want to use to get its Hex conversion and copy it.

    3.thumb.png.7c38713daf80a2009e336b8d990e46eb.png

    4) if the two textures names got the same length in hex numbers, just copy and paste the new one on the old one using   Edit => Paste external text =>as hex numbers.

    4.thumb.png.560f5f0a8638304dd2be69af23fce1e9.png

If, as in the example shown, the two names got a different hex length, u'll need to go to uitextures\roles and rename the new texture to match the one u want to change.

So, in the case exposed, i made a new texture named "heavy11", then i copied and pasted his hex name as in point 4, and that's it

  5. i have fixed a few things to make it work better. To fix hair styles problems with helmets (like in the 3rd image) u have to clean a bit portraits using a tool able to keep trasparent background (Paint3d work well) or follow Dark Helmet's way ... backup files before any modify.

    armourfemale.png

    example.png

    armourfemale.7z

    armour.7z

if u dont want to fix hair u can follow Dark Helmet way .jpg

  6. in any war there are traitors taking the size the enemy..

i'd like missions like "strike pro-alien terrorist group" or "destroy black-market operation", killing mission of quislings etc. Even "Human's terror missions" to try to regain control of country u have lost... or just hit hard those ones who are thinking about it (such killing of persons of influence or destroy strategic targets).

it would give a lil more variety
