  1. I finished X1 three times over the years. I haven't bought X2 yet because I want to experience the full game. Also, some games are in Early Access hell for 5 years or so, that's why I don't buy Early Access games anymore.

Is there an ETA when we can play a full campaign from start to finish? Will that only be at actual release (v1.0), or before?
Also, is there any ballpark timeline for full release?

  2. I can remember playing X1 many years ago and being excited that the gameplay resembled the original X-Com. Other X-Com clones had hateful things like enemies spawning in per group. Also, the newer clones removed strategy by only allowing 1 move and 1 action per turn. I was also excited to hear there was an X2 in the making, but that excitement has waned quite a bit over the years. I recently saw a Youtube video, and it looks like X2 is 90% the same as X1.

Is there a specific reason why X2 is taking so long? Even longer than creating X1 from scratch?

Our Xsolla pre-orders are ending at the end of this month, on 29th August. Anyone who has purchased the game on Xsolla at that point will then be asked if they want a Steam or a GOG code and their chosen code will be out sent to them at the end of September.

As to the actual Steam release date - we don't know yet. It shouldn't be too long but I'm hesitant to put a firm date on it; when we do announce it it'll probably only be 4 weeks before the launch.

4 weeks before the launch? So there is NOT going to be an Early Access period? I hoped for an Early Access release on Steam on September 1st.

  4. Hi all.

I just installed the GOG demo and started the game.

First off, I see a bunch of good ideas. The black and white hidden area is brilliant and the graphics have definitely improved over X1.

    But, I have some problems:

    1. Hovering with the mouse shows the cover points. Why not have an option where you can see all the cover points in the map?

    2. I set the slider to, for instance, aimed shot. When I walk with a soldier it doesn't automatically show how far I can walk and still be able to do an aimed shot. Why have a slider if it doesn't work?

    3. Assuming the slider would work. How can I make it so it includes reserving action points for kneeling?

    4. When I walk 2 steps or so, I lose almost all of my action points. I start with 55, I do 2 steps and then I'm at 18 or 15 or 9 or something. I presume this is a bug.
