  1. Beating Commissar to the punch this time! Since v19 updated when I thought it wouldn't we're doing v20 now! Yay! Break out those New Years toys early, folks! [video=youtube;e2LypCyic_4]
  2. The UI was overhauled in the geoscape in v20. Overall it's a very nice change in scenery and a bit more straight-forward, but I do have a few (minor / nit-picky) issues with it. [video=youtube;xIKM3wTpuws]
  3. It's been an awful month for me, guys. Long story short, I need to reboot the series. The solider list is intact and will be re-randomized and re-used. Turns out it's going to be a v20 play-through after all. I see updates for release candidates, but I assume the auto-update on Steam is a completely-awesome-okay-to-use-and-abuse version?
  4. [video=youtube;ZjojQXs1kCo] I have a story in mind, I think, but am definitely willing to take in suggestions. I don't have much intent on modding, as I'm already concerned enough with the structural stability of the game. If you've got any idea, do let me know! Going all-out with the editing on these. Gonna be goooood.
  5. UFO: Enemy Unknown (1994)? Getting there! Should just be another week or so. I'm making a push to finish that pretty much ASAP as it's been going on for, well.. months. Most stuff has Also, beating Commissar to the punch (though I do appreciate him keeping threads update ) [video=youtube;o7UEG-hrBYw]
  6. Marathon going on right now! We're not at the finale yet, but dang close!
  7. Sorry. I was misleading on the original post. I'm doing v19, assuming it'll end somewhat fast as I'm re-learning everything, and will do v20 when it gets a stable release.
  8. This was originally a v19 play-through in preparation for v20, but it seems the game updated when I thought I had it set not to, so surprise - we're doing v20! (que confetti) Head to v20 discussion here or click the link below to head to the playlist. (YouTube)I'd prefer comments be left on the video page, but if you hate Google+ then feel free to post 'em here instead. I completely understand. Soldier names are being accepted and put into play in random order, as that's the only way I can think to do it fairly (or at least evenly unfair) with as many names as I get.
  9. Not at first but after a while, once everyone got their abilities, it was fun for a little bit but got old really fast. I did the fancy editing and all that to keep it fun for me as well as anyone watching. Ultimately I'm glad it's over and wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless it was on sale for cheap (like $10USD cheap).
  10. and are up. Mostly just training rookies up and trying to keep the world at peace, but 58's got an extra dose of fancy in it that might make it one of my favorites
  11. From what I understand Bureau was thrown around to a lot of different development groups. I think someone somewhere wanted it "just done" and didn't have much time to get the details / immersion into play. The game lacks polish in just about every department: animation, voice acting, audio balancing, DX11 efficiency, general plot progression, and clearly historical accuracy. I'm pretty sure we can all agree it's lacking as a standalone game, let alone an XCOM game.
  12. I figured I'd put this here as well since most of the community here has helped me out significantly in getting this far. Lots of XCOM, a bit of Xenonauts, and a whole load of other general gaming stuff equating to nearly double of what The Simpsons has put together. That's a lot of videos, and I thank everyone who watches for their support and feedback to help me continue. Here's to the next 1000 with more editing, more professionalism, more fun, and hopefully some more Xenonauts. Cheers! [video=youtube;1n2PoHBhZSY]
  13. We wander around the base a last time before embarking on a mission to the alien home world. We set off to the alien home world but, unsurprisingly, run into a bit of trouble getting in.
  14. And any time you hear someone else use it on a video, you'll remember the silicoid
  15. With Axis out of the way we can move on to other threats, including an alien hostage who's escaping his captors. Tired of sitting around, we're starting to go on the offensive. At the moment, we're just poisoning the Mosaic Spire. No big deal. I think. Still heading to the Mosaic Spire, but along the way we find A SWEET NEW GUN. Tons of baddies to shoot it with, too!
  16. in which I obliterate a ship more than I ever have before ever. Ever. in which the rookies practice synchronized shots and muton ship breaching. Can't possibly go wrong.
  17. Agent Carter is an asshole and the silicoid is still friggen' amazing. We're in pursuit of an escaped captive after dealing with Axis.
  18. It seems as though I've done something unexpected by fighting things from a safe distance and have managed to break one of the many scripted events in the game. Awkwaaard. Also, we're still after Axis. Yup.
  19. [video=youtube;jZ6o0YopBDg] The game pulls a sneaky maneuver reminiscent of the classic Doom games. It's a shame it waited so long to get decent combat-wise.
  20. Turns out we're not just here for Axis - we're looking for a missing brother, too.
