  1. I dont get loads, just the odd one or two. It's not a real problem, just an irritation.
  2. femaleSoldierChance is set to 100 & has been since i discovered how to mod the game. I did consider changing the faces & names but it would not be the same, the game will still be choosing male soldiers. I'll just keep ignoring them or hire then fire :)
  3. Set customSoldierCreationChance to 0. Set Nation name="British" chance="0", removed all other nations. Why am i still getting men from all nations in the soldier list, i dont want them! i want all girls. (edit) Game version 1.59. XCE 0.34.2. Not sure but i think i read somewhere that there are special soldiers hard coded.
  4. @Sheepy. You can have if you know how to mod, just reduce the inventory size of the shield, i have already tested this. As an example i have reduced the size of the pistol to 2x1 so now it fits onto my belt.
  5. Well... i was not expecting being told on how i play my games.

How can i make a soldier with a shield climb over the small metal & concrete barriers, those metal barriers are only about 3 feet high if that, am sure a trained soldier (or any human over 5'9") no matter what they are carrying could lob his/her legs over it quite easily. I patiently await :) Thankyou
  7. @Policenaut. I dont mind at all, its a mod, do what you will with it.
  8. Look in the scripts folder, all the layout/font sizes are in there in various scripts. I will warn they are not easy to understand.

  10. @ Charon. The mod is smaller because i removed the unused sound files, delete old mod, new mod has more sounds. To increase the volume open Sounds_gc.xml & increase all instances of volume="0.6". I have not tried or even looked at X-Division so i dont know. Zenonuats has been put side for now, i am doing other things.
  11. I will upload new version tomorrow, any suggestions where too. If an Admin is taking notice of this can i upload to the forum? @Lament. i have no idea, i have not tried or looked at . If has not added any ambient sounds then the mod should be fine.
  12. I already looked, if that is a 'concretebarrier' all of them have a height of "1". I was hoping there would be a switch somewhere to increase the height a unit can jump, including the AI. Would be good if units could jump over boxes & cars & other smallish props, hope this is implemented in X2. (edit) Ah! spectre's you say, i was looking in the maps folder. It's a 'concretebar' & the height is set to "1", there is also a "isVaultable" switch, gonna see if i can experiment with that

  14. Noticed one strange thing, the Sebs will run up to a squad & just stand there.
  15. I just a did a big booboo I deleted the game folder forgetting that the mod folder is in it, all my changes & my Ambient Sound mod are gone. I have made numerous changes but i did keep a record of most them, it's gonna take me ages to redo. Is it possible to relocate the mod folder somewhere else, preferably in the save folder which i have moved to My Documents. I'll try & recover but i defragged the drive. Thankyou. (edit) just thought tis pointless trying to recover, i reinstalled the game.
  16. In gameconfig.xml alienTickerSpeedNormal value="0.9". I have mine set to 7. Over 6 month before i see a Cruiser with a Leader on board. I have also changed: alienAITickerIdle value="0.002315" to 1315 alienWavePeriod value="7200" to 10800 reinforcementChance value="50" to 25 baseAttackMissionDelay value="21" to 28 terrorMissionDelay value="14" t0 21 minMissionCount value="3" to 2 maxMissionCount value="7" to 5
  17. When you aim on a target the screen will auto center just before you shoot, this puts me right off & it's becoming very irritating. I think that made more sense.
  18. Look at sounds_gc.xml, it's quite easy to understand & edit.
  19. Am using XCE 0.34.1 & the mod works fine, it does not cause any problems that i can notice. I forgot there was a 'No Smoke Edition' patch, i will try that, also never noticed there was an 'Alternative UFO Interiors', i'll make sure to take plenty of grenades. So what does this 'FireChanceOfDissipating>90</FireChanceOfDissipating' do then. Thankyou kabill.
  20. Hope it's Ok to still reply to this topic. Firstly, thankyou for this. I was quick looking through this to see if there is a way to make the fires to dissipate quicker or have less fires, i have set 'FireChanceOfDissipating>90</FireChanceOfDissipating' & does it not work, the fires keep on burning. Help! While looking through here i have not seen any of those UFO interiors, all UFOs types are the same, i looked in the map folders & there are several layout files for each type of UFO, are the interiors supposed to alternate. Thankyou.
  21. When aiming & shooting at aliens the screen will auto center on target, is it possible to prevent the game from doing this pls. Thankyou. I patiently await replies as it is now driving me nutty.
  22. Only just noticed this, why are the Aliens (especially Drones & Androns) silent when out of sight. Has this been mentioned before, has it even been considered by the Devs.
  23. I dont understand kabill. Is there way to decrease the range of psionic attacks.
  24. I have set all ranges in psionicpowers_gc to 3 but i still get hit from way across the map, how is this so, what am i doing wrong. Thankyou.
  25. Have you tried editing psionicpowers_gc. Change Bezerk ap= to a very high number so the alien cannot use it. (edit) also. In config.xml, there is PsionicBerserking fireAtUnitChance="30", i set this to 15 & i was bezerk'd twice & my soldiers shot at random spots on the map.
