  1. Not sure if I'm right here, I play the game with the latest XCE edition and some minor mods which don't change gameplay (except a mod which makes grenades explode instantly). Anyway my problem is I can't start endgame research. It's my current goal but I have researched everything there is. I already have praetor interrogation and I have the hyperdrive research, seems like I lack disruptor research. I tried the workaround where you add some lines to enterbasename.lua but that doesn't work for me. I should also add that I have started this game several years ago so it has been the same saves for some years, same campaign. I am getting ready to be told here that there's nothing I can do.   2. So glad you guys are making a sequel! At first glance sebillians sound way too tough right now. I'd expect the arsenal of Xenonauts to grow in similar proportion so they can deal more easily with sebillians. Like an ammo type for research that will poison them and prevent their regenerative power or similar items. Like right now in XCom: Long War you pretty much need to get out of your way to include some guys with heat ammo mid to late game. I'd like to see something similar for sebillians and maybe other special enemies, equip or tech you need against them so they get easier to deal with but which also means cutting corners in terms of maybe mobility/range/damage output/defense etc.
  3. Reinstalling XCE helped with both problems. Seems if you tinker too much with config files on the same mission, you might corrupt your saves at some point.
  4. Hi, first the alien turns started hanging on me during a carrier recover mission. I was playing with the latest community edition. So after 30 minutes of failing troubleshoot, I decided to opt out of CE and return to the base game. But now the game won't recognize my saves. I point it to the save game location but I still can't load my saves ingame. Help would be appreciated. I'm going to sleep now with frustration in my stomach because of this crap.
  5. Update, I checked again and overlooked the psionicpowers.xml in the xce folder because I assumed balances will be made in the designated balance folder. So yeah, the xce folder was overriding my changes. Many thanks for the help!
  6. Hi, I've got a problem. I've tried getting rid of the most annoying psionic attacks but something seems to override what I change in psionicpowers.xml. I've checked all my mods (some maps packs, the community edition and instant grenades) and nothing seems to override the same values so I'm really at a loss why my changes are not working. I set power to 0, range to 1 and AP cost to 900 and still aliens spam me with the most powerful control spells. Any help please? I'm really frustrated. Using the steam version. Funny, tried deleting mind control and berzerk from airprops and that does not work neither. Seems like hiatus is the most available solution right now.
