Sounds like a specter problem with that door. have you tried destroying a wall and see if you can enter the room then?

I guess I should have tacked on "for them" as clarification at the end of "even if it results in the game being less fun". I didn't think I needed it because I assumed of the earlier sentances clarified that part.

You have severely misunderstood what I was trying to say. I did not define fun in any way, i do not discard any notion that other people may be playing the game differently. I was under the impression that I made it clear I considered your way of playing the game with savescumming to be entirely legit and just as valid as any other way to play the game. Apparently I did not.

I'm not sure that my opinion is anything but selfreflective. I know for a fact how I play the game, and what the possibility of easily accessed "comfort" does to my playstyle. I also know that I find it less fun in the long run.

I do not know if other people that play like me are as introvert and reflect as much on how they play as I do. I assume there is a large portion that probably doesn't.

For instance if you throw a grenade it could roll 1-2 squares according to the direction you throw it in.

For realism? For gameplay reasons itt seems pointless.

also, there could be a system that allows you to bounce grenades of walls.

I think Chris said the engine can't handle that.

Please use the acctual numbers instead of "current steam version"

Current steam version doesn't help the devs with if you are playing the stable or experimental brranch or when the current steam version changes to the next version (that then becomes current after the update ).

Speaking of class logos: i would like to see some more of them or maybe to save time, just be able to change the colours on the old one would be good enough.

Lets give an example why it could be useful, lets say i got a lot of research going with allot of soldiers and i have 1 or 2 plasma casters and wolf armour for them, it would be nice to be able to give them a let's say a blue colored heavy weapon class logo to distinguish them from the plain old m60 guys.

There should be mods offering that already.

And being able to make a new class out of an existing soldiers kit, just a save-as new class option, it's getting tedious rebuilding every new class from the ground up until the last grenade.

uhm.. why don't you just assign the old role, equip its template and then select a new role witout equipping that new roles template before saving the currently equipped template? Shouldn't that be possible?

Yes. The debreifing screen is being overhauled. What is currently showing is placeholder and will be replaced with something else.

PS: In the future pluease remeber to include the version number in the topic title, thank you. That makes things easier for the devs

While enableing savescumming might be confortable for you it is likely a feature that if the regular gamer is presented with will greatly reduce his or her enjoyment of the game merely because it exists.

It's a psychological trap that is probable to be used by more players than would enjoy it just because it is there and it is "comfortable", even if it results in the game being less fun.

I would strongly advise against such a feature.

I was wondering, would it be possible to include a Save-Scum option for players? I mean two additional save games for beginning and end of each turn? I mean those who do it, will do it anyway, this would only save some time and manual labour

Hmm. If you turn off auto updates, but there is an update waiting: Doesn't Steam disallow to play the game? IIRC it refuses to play until you made the update. Or am I wrong here..?

If it does just start the game from the .exe in the steam folder. It can't prevent you from running it there.

It costed 30$ ?I didn't know that ..

at one point it was sold for 2 different ammounts. a regular pre order and a premium preorder. The guys that paid a little bit extra got the shiny gold medals. while the others got silver medals.

Not sure if that is what X-toph is refering to or not.
