  1. I simply was told that Apocalypse was very poorly balanced so perhaps there was a mod or something like XCOMUtil that improves it or something ^^U
  2. I don't know, it's a very small "genre". I don't think there's a huge demand for more games like this one.
  3. If electroshock grenades work then it should be easy to equip four or five guys with them and jump into the command room with them. Next time I get to endgame I'll try that, thanks
  4. I might check these games sooner or later despite their flaws but I don't quite know what steps I should take to play the best versions of them since, as far as I know, bug fixes and patches aren't as common as they are for UFO: Enemy Unknown. So..how's the PSX version of TFTD? Any open versions or fixes I should know about? What about Apocalypse? Any way to restore its balance?
  5. I can now reliably reach the last stage of the game but I've yet to successfully capture a Praetor to jump into the final mission. How do you do it? Giving three or four guys an Assault Shield and rushing in with shock batons doesn't seem like a bad strategy but there must be a better way. Can you stun it with Electroshock grenades? It also seems that it would be better to target a base or a Battleship than a Carrier. Going through three different floors of mind control seems difficult. Thoughts?
  6. Hello, I'm Erik Twice! I'm a small time writer which is fairly fond of UFO: Enemy Unknown. I really like the improves of Xenonauts but geez, it's hard! So hard that I decided to join in so I could ask for some tactical advice and perhaps just talk about the other games in the series a bit. So...hi everyone and lend me a hand, will you?
